Straico is inadequate compared to free ChatGPT alternatives, especially in the presentation of information and certain features. A good example is the source citation when using Perplexity: Straico uses non-clickable numbers instead of accessible links, which makes source verification beyond simple queries impossible. This works fine on the Perplexity site in free mode.
A notable shortcoming is the purely text-based output: Straico displays mathematical formulas as programming code, which is incomprehensible to non-programmers. This problem does not exist with comparable free services, where the formulas are displayed in an easily comprehensible form. For pure text-based prompts, this may be sufficient, but nothing more. Formulas are displayed as a formula on the ChatGPT page even with the free ChatGPT 3.5 model and with Straico, regardless of whether ChatGPT 4 is selected, only as programmed code. In addition, even straico often produces unreadable output that looks like source code and cannot be read.
Creating images with Streico has not really worked well or at all so far. This works better and easier with other providers, even with a free account.
