The 5 star reviews were mainly for the v1; v2 on the other hand, is like what others described. Totally unsuable.
As Appsumo supporters we understand there are bugs with under developed products showing promise, Frontly in this case is not even a MVP, it's as good as only an UI generator, consuming all the monthly credits with a single prompt and gave nothing but a nonusable, non-clickable UI "products". Even their own "advertised" client portal returned unsuable.
This launch honestly ruined their reputation from v1.
Awful experience. Login failed to basic software not working. There's no guides and it's buggy and awful to attempt to work with.
I supported Frontly when they just started. Now they have come up with a new version instead of improving the product.
The "free" option on this new version has more AI credits, unlimited users, and apps than the one I paid for much earlier. The previous version is almost unusable, and I was hoping they would develop it. Now, as per the new reviews, they have another unusable version.
Poor ethics and business practices.
Just purchased - and I havent even done anything yet, however I've immediately run out of credits...
There's no tutorial, no explanation of anything. Just simply asks me what I want to build.
So, I tell Frontly what I want to build. I give it a simple 1,000 word prompt.
It creates some garbage, and then tells me im out of credits.
What is this? Complete waste of time and money it seems.
How on earth does this have such positive reviews?
First off I want to say there are several YT videos showing the promise of this app - as an app builder. That said, I had several problems with this app.
1. I am surprised that there is a wall of reviews showing "5 tacos" and yet when I went to review them - AS shows no reviews... strange.
2. The copilot portion eats through AI credits faster than you can blink. I bought Tier 4 and built one simple app with co-pilot and it ate through 25% of my 10,000 credits in a few seconds - and I only saw the first rendition of the app (no edits). This doesn't seem worth it considering the value you get with other ai builders.
3. The UX is clunky. I found it super hard to navigate to where I wanted to go.
4. The support is lacking at best.
I refunded. No reviews is way too odd for a system that's been on here for a month. Also I suggest watching reviews on YT before buying. Some peoples reviews are very in depth - and if I had seen before spending - I would not have bought the product.
I can't login.
There's no tutorial's on how to build an app from beginning to end.
Unfortunately, because this app is unaccusable and buggy, I can't give it a good review will have to refund. I'm happy to change this review if these issues have been addressed.
The concept of using spreadsheets to build apps is great but the support of how to actually do this severely lacking. Perhaps no-code specialists might find Frontly easy but it is easy to use for others.
Don’t get me wrong, I can see the potential of Frontly (specially when they add monetization options to sell our own apps) and I will be keeping this deal as it is the one that most closely offers what I am looking forward (creating MVP apps to sell).
However, this version 2 is not quite there yet and it feels like it’s been rushed to Appsumo.
Many bugs, outdated tutorials (they were made for version 1 —although they are being rebuilt), support or reporting through Discord is confusing, still missing functionalities and the marketplace has only 4 elements (the screenshot in Appsumo is from version 1, not 2).
If you add this all, for a non-coder like me it makes it quite difficult to use the product to create anything beyond a simple app.
But, as I said, the future looks promising once they deal with all this issues and I will gladly update my review accordingly.

I am not a coder, hence my excitement with trying frontly. It sounded from the ads like it was a super simple ai option to build no code apps. As a therapist, I was interested in creating quizzes (personality type) for my clients to answer several questions to, for example, determine attachment style etc. and then have the app offer the results (a detailed analysis of what style and what that meant for them) in exchange for their email address. I asked in the questions section and was told that it was possible, but I am not seeing any instructions or help anywhere to do this. And when I attempted to figure it out myself, I couldn't figure out how to make the app work correctly.
This isn't intuitive at all. There is languaging that is really difficult to understand and all of the videos I have found seem to use v1. There are also only 3 option in the marketplace. I was concerned when I didn't see ANY reviews here for this product after a week of being available. I am hoping that I can figure this out in the next few days or I will be asking for a refund.
I really want to love this. But it really needs a whole lot more work to make the user interface useable for newbies like me. And there need to be a lot more tutorials to help users through.
I have teir 1 - so that is the lowest level but still.
I added 1 prompt, and frontly created the front end of 1 page - no idea if it works because it missed the main part of what I needed, just created the database, not where its used.
And hen from the 1 prompt, I ran out of credits for the month. I would need probably at least 10-20 times more credits to create a product, which would take 10-20 months.
you could learn to code and create your app from scratch in that time.
I wrote one prompt and some of the front end was built for 1 page, I then hit my monthly limit.
definitely need at least 50 times this to actually build anything
