I wanted to fall in love with this product. The developer is a passionate believer and I applaud his enthusiasm. I watched his entire "101" course, which was lovingly produced. I wanted to love this. The rub for me is that automations and internet access are dependent on 3rd party automation programs like Make.com. The AI assistant I want does not require all of this old school nuts-and-bolts webhook etc.-etc.-etc nonsense. No disrespect intended. I might not be the right user, but I will come back from time to time in the hopes that Alice evolves to meet my needs also.

The Unrivaled Alice: A Comparison Like No Other

Alice isn't just a fish in the sea of applications; she’s the Kraken, swimming freely while the other apps look like goldfish in a bowl. Sure, there are plenty of similar applications that pop up now and then like dandelions in a lawn, but Alice doesn’t just blend in—she defies comparison altogether.

What sets Alice apart? For starters, she operates within the operating system itself, much like a ninja slipping through your living room unnoticed. No browser bloat here! Plus, she can tango with external providers via various APIs that can be commanded by her LLM prowess. It’s as if Alice has her own personal army of digital helpers ready to spring into action at her command.

Now, let's not put Alice on a pedestal too high; even superheroes have their kryptonite. Alice's Achilles' heel is her lack of support for Linux users. I mean, come on! Is it so hard to build a bridge for that crowd?

If you know of other tools that don’t play the browser game and offer some API integration magic—without looking as lost as a cat in a dog park—I’d love to hear about them!

I HATE writing bad reviews. I was so excited for Alice. Literally nothing worked and all of the "help" I was directed to in the app didn't exist or was unresponsive. Every email bounced back and the service to purchase API credits, which is required to use the app didn't work...so I essentially paid for a tool that doesn't work. Yikes.

I was excited to use this, supercharge my workflows, and get minutes or hours back into my weekly schedule.

This app, as it currently sits, offers nothing over Open WebUI or other free open-source projects that update faster, and offer more features today.

I see what the dev is trying to do, but the amount of coding that you are required to do to get these "workflows" or GEM's to work, makes it far far less useful. This is not worth the price until ALICE can go out to the internet itself. Also, ALICE could easily some with Ollama bundled in to allow you to run your own models locally.

It just feels like this product's marketing is 10 times better than the actual product.

Wishing the team the best of luck here - I'm sure you'll get there, it's just not ready yet.

A very convenient AI assistant that is always at hand. It brings together many language models in one place. The quick change of language model allows for easy adaptation of the assistant to needs. Thanks to integration via API, paid subscriptions can be limited. A really very helpful tool!

Using Alice is so seemless and I can clearly see, how it absolutely increases my productivity alot.

I went all in instead of Franke. I downloaded it for both environments and it worked quite well, even for Windows which is in Beta. If they add a mobile app that would be a beast. Can't wait for future updates :)

I've been using Alice a couple of months now, and I can tell it's very convenient and packed with customisations app. It gives you low level insights to LLM integration when you need it. Therefore you can specify prompts to suits your needs. Highly recommend for professionals and casual users.

I used to have ChatGPT + Claude + Perplexity + Gemini open in several Chrome tabs + native ChatGPT macOS app, and I thought that having a single app to unify it all would be great. But I went back to having multiple tabs open, Alice doesn't really offer much. The real power of Claude and ChatGPT come with their custom "projects" and "GPTs", and web-browsing add-ons, and all of these features are only available through their native interface, not through an API wrapper like Alice. Plus now I have to pay for the Pro subscription + API usage, instead of just having all my usage included in the Pro subscription for ChatGPT and Claude.

I have only used Alice software lightly so far. It's taken me a little bit of time to watch through the tutorials and think about how best I would use the software.

I love the fact that you can connect to different AI LLMs and pick and choose how you work. I'm really enjoying the fact that the GTP4o Mini is there to keep costs down while being very intelligent.

I haven't yet managed to set up any automations. I need to consider that more. But what I have done is set up a couple of assistants. One helps me with some SEO thoughts. I've also created a pretty decent business coach to help me get through difficult challenges, and to challenge me on my ideas so that I can think more deeply about the end result and whom I'm talking to.

So far, I think it's great, and I'm looking forward to trying it more deeply and seeing what much greater results I can actually get. I'm actually enjoying reading other reviews here to discover how other people have made use of this tool!

I slept on this purchase.
Not because of the cost but the learning and onboarding time.

I use GPT for a lot of things and I already have tabs with "assistants" prompted. But the fact that this allows me to have ready-made assistants prompted made this a win for me.

My dog has an instagram account. One of my Alice assistants is promoted with his personality. I upload a photo and my assistant gives me an instagram caption with hashtags.

I have one to help me brainstorm rhymes for my content.

I have one for making my YouTube captions.

I have one to write my copy and do outreach.

Anyway this app made all of the above easier. Then add in the ability to call snippets or functions that connect to make and rapier.

The learning curve is worth it. It's kinda technical but it needs to be. I love it.

It’s an awesome app that helped me improve my productivity. Before, I had to switch between browser windows to use ChatGPT. Now, I have many models in one application. Plus, I can connect with automations. Thanks to this, I can create and send invoices like talking with a friend. The only thing I’m thinking about after purchase is whether I should switch to a higher tier. :)
