Bonboarding appears to be shutting down and terminating LTD accounts shortly after the one‑year “I got your back” guarantee — and that feels opportunistic and unfair. Buying an LTD is supposed to be supporting a product’s future, not a timed exit where momentum is built, money is taken, and the lights are turned off the moment a guarantee expires.

After this and a few similar experiences, buying an LTD on AppSumo feels less like investing and more like placing a bet. Sometimes you hit a home run — but too often you’re left with half-built or abandoned tools, wasted time, and real business disruption. I am stepping down on my AppSumo purchases, and thinking really really hard before considering buying anything else.

These folks are shutting down their ltd accounts after 09/2025.

Conveniently timed just outside of the appsumo refund window. This will come down to Appsumo seeing the 'wood for the trees' here and act in good faith to those now out of pocket as a result.

It’s an ok software. UI is not great, and fonts, colors, and tiny text size are hard for me to see, and I have no vision issues. Definitely doesn’t pass accessibility checks.

The functionality is challenging, and using it is confusing.

I really enjoy Bonboarding. The interface in very smooth. All functions seems to work well. This is a very polished product. I like how I can give my clients a quick walk thru on the digital products I have provided. The items on the roadmap will only make this product that much better. I give this one 5 tacos.

Bonboarding is a great product. Creating a tour is simple and highly customizable. The support is responsive and very competent.

User on-boarding can make or break your SaaS product and Bonboarding will make it better.

We are using Bonboarding instead of Intercom for our guided tours. Why?

First is COST; seriously, Intercom charges $500 per month for their on-boarding guided walk-through.

Second, I love how you can construct your entire walk through without having to integrate it into your live site.

Basically with their Chrome plugin, you can design every element you need and then once you are comfortable with it, you can THEN add the integration code to your site.

So if you are building a SaaS product and want to improve your on-boarding process, then Bonboarding is awesome.

This is a complicated product to make work. Every piece of software is different and has little quirks that can trip it up. But it DOES work, if you know how to bend it.

Without the excellent support team behind it, I'm not sure I'd be keeping it because I needed so much help to get up and running. But they got me taken care of, rather quickly I might add.

And then I changed my software a wee bit. And we're back at square one. I fear we'll get to know each other quite well.

The alternatives are so incredibly expensive that it's a no-brainer to hang on to this as they work out any kinks. Did you know that Intercom's version of this is only available in their $499/mo. plan?

Yeah. $500/mo.

I love this app, well designed and the support team is great, highly recommended.

This is my surprise app of the year. Where SendNow was the worst! But BonBoarding is much better then a solution like Guidde, which I used to create explainer videos or 'onboarding' videos. Surely I will create an onboarding video, but the tool is ideal for self-service videos, and much more.
The setup went easy, and within 2 minutes I had the first 2 steps/scenes of my video, which I could run in preview very nicely on the website that I captured it on.
I would say, a very handy tool for any developer or startup to own.
