The Brilliant Directories system is easy to get up and running, and it's packed full of features. The documentation and videos make the more detailed features easy to implement.

I'm loving everything from the dashboard to customer automations to the SEO features.
You can tell that the system was designed by agency owners; they've already thought of every little aspect.

Everything is already built in and ready to go; no need to build workflows and automations, no custom code to embed, or zaps needed. It's all there and very little customization is needed, even for branding the automated messages.

I had one domain issue unrelated to their software, but when I emailed support, they responded within 30 minutes, and after one more Q&A back and forth, they gave me the solution along with an easy step-by-step how-to.

I have been looking for a directory forever but the daunting ask of setting up a wordpress site with such capability made me drop the idea. Thanks to Brilliant Directory, a hosted directory that comes with all the necessary plugins (free!!) and some optional features (at really low) price when you need to scale up. Unlike many other saas, this is a polished product with years of development that makes it ready (and rocking) right out of the box!

I recently purchased the Tier 5 plan of Brilliant Directories, and I must say, it has significantly simplified the process of managing my membership site. The platform offers a ton of features, including the ability to accommodate up to 50,000 members (on my plan), developer tools, and seamless integration with Zapier, which has been a game-changer for my marketing efforts. Brilliant Directories is was easy to setup although I am still learning all the ropes and how to make it perfect for my wedding vendor directory. There Facebook group has been a huge help along with their tutorials and support articles.

I'm just getting started with Brilliant Directories, but so far have been impressed with the professionalism and maturity of the product. The richness of its feature set seems truly remarkable. A great platform for both building a directory and/or creating a membership website!

Took me only a few hours to build the directory that I wanted and start getting my first paying customers!

I have mostly positive things to say about BD.

I'm a former web dev so am used to getting elbow deep into code but for this project, I wanted something that works without a big learning curve. For my business, I realised that others in my niche (not necessarily the most tech-literate) were already using BD, which definitely helped persuade me to part with some money.

Second, the flexibility of BD is great, without it becoming overkill with options. Yes, the trade-off is that if you're a designer or developer, functionality or design may feel restrictive, but for something 'out of the box' that works and doesn't require eleventy-billion hours to setup and tweak, I'm not arguing. As a way of getting a project off the ground and running, it's great.

So, why 4 not 5 tacos?

I know customer service is inundated with AppSumo enquiries but I emailed with a very specific list of features I did want, along with particular questions. I got a relatively generic reply back, rather than something addressing my queries. Thankfully, the wording used in the reply gave me a hint as to what I actually needed to search the documentation for, and found it myself. However, had there not been comments about the quality of customer support, I might have been less inclined to purchase.

The other part of the taco deduction is that the sites can be slow. I noticed this when using two different BD sites prior to exploring the AppSumo offer. I haven't yet explored whether using CloudFlare or a similar service on top of BD would help solve this, but it's on my to do list, as if it catches my attention, it might also be noticed by my customers/clients.

Seriously, don’t miss out on Brilliant Directories! It’s a total game-changer if you’re looking to create a directory or membership site. Although the UI might feel a bit old-school, it’s loaded with features and tutorials that make everything pretty simple, even if you’re not tech-savvy. Plus, there are tons of support and other resources to help you out. It's a solid investment that can save you a lot of time and money. Don't let this one slip by!

Just getting started on the system and so far things are going smoothly. It is very easy to use and I cant wait to begin to see the return on my work.

The UI is great and simple to use and navigate. I have not checked out all the features yet but the basics meet my needs and what I was looking for. The price and was a steal and well worth it as long as you have the need and drive to build something.

Brilliant Directories is the platform I didn't even know I needed. I had a long-term goal of creating a directory one day, but I thought it'd take months (plus thousands of dollars in contractor fees) to make it happen. That's why I'm so grateful I found BD! Everything is conveniently located in one platform and you can get fully set up in little to no time. It's a great idea for a new business, or an excellent added revenue stream for existing businesses (which is what I'm doing).

I do wish there were a few more design features available so it'd perfectly match my branding, but I'm sure that'll come in time. This is a must-buy from AppSumo. I wouldn't miss the opportunity to grab it if I were you!
