Indispensable to my business

One of the most used tools I’ve ever purchased. I love the AI summaries, the recordings, etc. So easy to use and share with my clients if needed. Thank you, Noota, I hope you continue for ever 🙏

Does the job with some added cool features

I have been using Noota for quite some time now and it has always been good at transcribing my meetings even though it can get some words wrong same as any other app. I know some others are unhappy with the latest update but I find it very helpful. As a celebrant I do many meetings with couples so it is great to be able to transcribe them. The latest AI Assitant is a great improvement. For me it allows me to ask questions about the interview I had with my couples and get answers without trawling back through the transcription. So far it has been very accurate at providing the answers and grouping together facts requested from the AI Assistant.
I agree that this product has changed over time and some of the newer features are a little confusing at first. The reports generated are great but a lot of them aren't relative to me but the summary still covers the main points of the meeting plus I can ask additional questions in AI if needed.
One feature I did really like which seems to have been removed is the ability to control the playback speed when playing back the meeting and checking the accuracy of the transcribing. Not a big deal but it was very handy is speeding up the process.
Overall I think this has evolved into a really great product.

used it a lot, but they turned off features crucial to my workflow

They advertised subtitles download and translation. I was using them A LOT (for hundreds of video files that i was working with - generating PL->EN translations and subtitles). Now, after update (ruining UX with new interface) they pulled the plug on subtitles feature and support says they are planning to turn off transations in near future. But they advertise this on their FAQ page. Looks like false advertising for me.

The mobile app is another weak spot. Recording a simple memo is a real PITA. The app is always logging me out of platform. Before recording anything i need to log in (sometimes twice) and then i need to select speakers, language and so on. Not very handy if you need to record really fast something on the go.

i am very happy i bought lowest tier and lose less money

Noota Terrible Update for Transcribing

I am so frustrated with my Lifetime Noota Subscription. After the Updates It has become a monster that does not resemble the platform any longer. It's some mushy Ai tool which really imposes on basic transcription, giving analytics that is over complex and compound without the ability to disable the ever imposing Ai reports and complexities.
I can't even just click on a text and edit it without the clip playing. All the shortcut buttons are missing or re assigned.
Even the most basic exporting a SRT file is gone, how is this of any value.
Noota, you have lost me, and it takes a lot to get me to this point.

My recommendation to Noota and it's team, why not simply put a button to flip it back to what it was prior to the Ai fiasco, so users can decide to use it like it worked.

I will wait to see if anything arrives, If not I'll be heading to TS

Noota's April 2024 update is terrible for the transcription functionality

The product I bought from Appsumo in Jan 2023 was very intuitive to use and had excellent transcription tool features, even though it was a bit quirky (e.g. no copy/paste function). It was possible to hear relevant audio by placing the cursor at any point in the text and pressing play and so make thorough edits before exporting the edited transcript to Word and it was also possible to translate the edited transcript into a number of languages when downloading to Word.

All that has now gone.

Noota seems to have switched focus entirely to AI summaries to the detriment of the transcript editing interface, which has now become virtually unusable.
• it is no longer possible to change generic speaker names from Speaker1, Speaker 2 etc.
• basic text editing tools like search and replace have vanished;
• blocks of text can no longer be merged;
• the translation feature has vanished
• the AI summary occupies 2/3 of the screen and cannot be hidden, making text editing even more difficult;
• there are no tutorials, so no way to find out if workarounds exist for any of these issues
• customer support has been replaced by a useless AI assistant.
I'm extremely disappointed with this upgrade. It creates a lot of additional work. Please can we have the old version back?

Brilliant meeting AI summaries

I use this for every online meeting I have. Each AI summary goes into customer/prospect file. Conversion rate boosted. Fantastic too at summarising youtube videos and uploaded videos. Highly recommended

5 TACOS! Noota is NO TOY!

Ok. So I was asked recently how is Noota. Would I recommend it. And I wasn't quite certain that I could. (I have Castmagic and would get the two confused.) But, "accidentally" I missed a very important Zoom meeting by 15mins. I was floored. I was getting really down on myself.

How could I miss such an important presentation? Now, how do I tell those that had expected me to attend that I would be a great presenter at the next event, if I could not even show up for their first one? Yikes!

Anyhoo, I went to Noota to try and get the answer for my lead on how I find Noota, when RIGHT THERE in the library was the Zoom presentation I had (thought I had) missed! The entire and I mean it recorded the pre-presentation...

I "watched" (re: listened to) the entire thing and when I wanted to revisit one of the statements, I did a search for a word and it popped up directly in the transcripts--and found the place immediately so that I could hear it audibly, too.

I'm a fan. This software is not JOKE and NO TOY. It gets the job done. I highly recommend it. I was fortunate enough to purchase 3 Tier. Great purchase. Let me know if you need any better stated reviews. DONE.

Lying to customers about the price

I purchased this deal PRECISELY because they offered Unlimited hours /month.
It turns out, for Noota, "unlimited" really only means 50 hours/month

So, they take your money but do NOT own their promise and simply lie to your face about their service.

Here is the conversation I had with their chat "support"

Impressed by Noota's Evolution

I bought Noota to replace my annual Otter.ai subscription. I've been using it more recently to transcribe videos from a course I'm taking, saving me HOURS in note-taking.

The transcription quality is excellent. But then I noticed other functionality:
- Summary: which does what it says and provides a precise overview of the content. And it does a great job.
- Overview: providing sentiment analysis insights. I WISH I had this tool during marketing research sessions, as it took me forever to transcribe, code and analyse sentiment.

And there's so many use cases from what I described to meetings.

When I initially purchased the app I had trouble changing the language from French to English (simple, I know, but I couldn't figure it out or find self-help documentation, which has been vastly added to over time), and got a swift response when I made contact.

Here's what I love about AppSumo, I feel like I'm 'investing' in the development of the app maker's dreams and ambitions. I get great quality apps at a phenomenal price and further benefit from the product's development because of AppSumo's community collective investment + the developer's commitment towards continuous improvement. Noota is one of those products, "Thank you" to the Noota Team
