my developer wrote me this:
"You were completely dependent on third party plateform i.e nowa and I was experienced in working with Nowa, but you also need to understand that I don’t own or control the platform. If there are any technical issues or limitations with Nowa itself, it’s something neither you nor I can fix directly. As I shared with you earlier, Nowa has acknowledged the issues on their end."

Result: project is lost, money gone, market opportunity missed.

Lesson learned: If you about to professionally develop a project make sure that you're in total control of all steps and technology.

I went into this very optimistically but there were just too many flags that indicate this product isn't ready for prime time yet, in my opinion.

Firstly, if you or your users use Safari (25% of web users use Safari) this platform isn't regularly tested against it so buyer beware if that's your target audience. Trying to establish an account I faced some crazy issues and I found that the login and sign up process is incompatible with Apple Keychain / Safari Autofill. The login fields are not correctly labeled nor filled in automatically. Every time I login to the service I must manually enter my email as only the password correctly autofills. I don't understand how any one at this company could miss this - surely at least on of them uses a Mac or Safari in order to test out the iOS/macOS functionality?

Then there is the extremely concerning "You agree we're allowed to monitor your usage" notification upon signing in to the designer. I'm sorry, can you be any more vague? Do you mean resource statistics like storage usage or are you freely accessing our clients information and data whenever you want? Where is the opt-out for this? Really unacceptable.

Lastly, and this is just a personal preference (coming from tools like Bubble/Figma/Whimsical etc) but in Safari you cannot click to drag the canvas with the mouse.

You must use your mouse scroll wheel to go up and down or shift+scroll wheel to go left and right. This is so strange and obtuse to me given the story board should be something you can move around in easily.

Common shortcuts don't work either, for example, a lot of tools like Figma let you click and drag by holding a modifier key like Space Bar or Shift and they simply don't exist here.

With those features missing, it would have made sense to include zoom and pan controls to the canvas area, but once again, in Safari at least. Nothing.

I'm going to assume it is a "me" problem, but unfortunately as someone invested in the Apple eco-system and market, these shortcomings make it a deal breaker. Conceptually, I love so many things about what these guys are trying to do.. so I guess if you're an Android developer, you live in Windows and you use Chrome, this could be a really good deal for you.

I already liked the idea when it came around the first time, but with a heavy heart I refunded - the usability was just not there, and I didn't understand much of how you could make an app from it.
This time they are much further. More features, better UX, great tutorials, I feel that a lot is possible with this platform.
Highly recommended! Didn't think I end up staying with something this BF, but yeah, this is valuable. Congrats to Berlin!!

I purchased it on the first run but refunded it. I bought it again on the third run but was unable to log in. I'm not sure how good it is now, but the support is clearly non-existent. They don't bother to answer emails or respond on Discord unless you shout out loud in public.

As someone who's explored various no-code tools, I can confidently say NOWA is a game-changer for getting my MVP to market quickly.
I've tried FlutterFlow which is powerful I admit but it comes with steep learning curve, NOWA, on the other hand, won me over with its intuitive interface and well-crafted tutorials. I would say it's more of Hours of learning than Weeks. it's super cool!
And as for the Wireframe goes, I used to use other wireframe tools like Visily, and Pixso, but, since NOWA lets me to create all Wireframing with using Space Holders, which can then smoothly transition into functional apps.
NOWA is like an All-In-One MVP to Live App solution for me.

Well. I was probably one of the first buyers of Nowa while they first launched there on Appsumo, and also probably one of the first to refund.

Why? Simply because at that time, I was not in a position to afford a product without any confidence of being able to use it in a pro way, mainly because the API requests were limited to POST requests, and I had troubles with some endpoints.

BF2024 campaign : they are back. OK, I bought a Tier 3, "will see". And 1 hour is enough to say : YES! Congrats Anas and Nowa team, today you are definitively a solid product!!

I don't give you 5 but 10 tacos : for Nowa as it is, today, and for your motivation and efforts to make it HUGE.

I worked with Nowa, but I'm stack into the version 1.8.0 I can't Update to Nowa V2

For weeks, I was trying to rebuild the example und connect my app with my wordpress blog and failed. Yesterday (Saturday), I was done. I was so angry, that I couldn’t make it work that I explained my experience her, complained that I didn’t get response from the developer, had no help.
After submitting, I checked Youtube once more and found a new video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ko4iKVXVuA
This video was brilliant. Anas (probably the name of one of the founders) explained how to do and why and it all made sense (at least, maybe because I had a tiny knowledge of Flutter). I tested the API and succeeded. Now, I was confindent, that it will work.
This morning (Sunday) I worked through the tutorial and could build what I wanted. Moreover, the concept gets a bit clearer. Then, I was away with my family.
In the evening, I saw that Anas replied to my negative review and told me the URL of the video above, too. So, there was a feedback even on Sunday.
I want to thank you, Anas, exceptionally. With your Youtube clip you made the system graspable. Please, keep that quality of work.
Now, I change my rating on AppSumo, Nowa is indeed a great tool! IF one can get an idea of the concept. That is not easy for non computer scientists.

It just doesn’t work!!!
And no answer from the developers.
No quick help, although documentation and videos aren’t showing how the app is currently looking. There are some changes and it just doesn’t work.
It seems a pity, that I upgraded to tier 2. I thought it might be a great tool, I just have to dig in a bit, but at the moment my anger is gigantically – as you might read.
I hope, I get an answer – today! – I have spend so many hours, I took days of, only to stop working totally frustrated, because the connection with the wordpress blog doesn’t work.
How should a more complex connection function, if I cannot recreate the simple one they are showing. And why do the show me an airtable connection, when (probably) a lot of the users have a wordpress running already.
Please, make it clear how you IT experts want to connect the database. It is not, yet!

I started building right away after I bought the license and had so much fun following along with one of their tutorials. It's just the right low/no code level to get me going and create something from my idea into an MVP. Something that gets me going right away has tremendous value for me. This product got me into building my first app. Everything is not working yet, but that's the beauty of creating and building, in my opinion. I'm learning so much and it opened my eyes to a new world.

I know some features I'd like have not been implemented yet. I know it's possible with Flutter, but I have not done that much research on the limitations of this kind of product. I chose this product and the highest tier because it has features like building and deploying to the stores, good tutorials, and is easy to use. I love the logic interface, and I can download the code and invite others to collaborate.

I don't know if the code would be useful since I have never coded, but that isn't an issue right now since I'm exploring new ideas and possibilities with this easy-to-use interface. That's enough for me at this stage.

I have not tried any similar product, so I can't compare. But Nowa checks all my current needs.
