The simplicity and genius of the design and structure of the platform is proved by the fact that I am a senior citizen (I don't mean high school) with no computer degree, coding education or experience in AI, but I have created several working, functioning A-MAZ-ING AI tools here.

Now for the "other" - the actions are VERY limited unless you buy the highest level (there are no way to level them up!) and the customer service is quick but dry.
So, as much as I like the ease of use, the limitations on actions on the first 2 levels will limit what you can do with the platform.

There was a lot of chatter about new models inclusion in the deal. First they stated outright new models are not included and quite a few people said it's not a starter for them. Then they founders backtracked and said the models will be included for BYOK users. Fast forward a few months... And of course GPT-4.5 is a "pro" model which you need to go for a monthly subscription.

Well, another deal goes to the trash.

One of my favorite purchases on AppSumo. In addition to having a solid, easy-to-use, application, their support has been top notch. To field questions, the founders hold office hours... OFFICE HOURS-- who does that? Where are you going to get that level of support? (shout out to Mike!)

I bought this deal knowing I didn't need it right away. That was my mistake, I should have dived in right away and begun building. But I'm here now, and the first Pickaxes I build for my clients are remarkable. I created something that would normally require a team of expensive developers, all in just an hour or two, with no coding experience. To say we're living in the golden age of tech, almost seems like an understatement when you come across such a polished app like Pickaxe. Their support is superb, and the community is enthusiastic. Getting this type of superpower as a lifetime deal feels like stealing.

I would have given it 5 tacos if not for the 50 document up load limit, rather disappointed as it was not clearly stated in the offer.
My upload is usually small but many many files.

This is one of the most 🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮 💥 🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮-worthy products I've ever purchased here.

Please consider reviving this deal with even more studios. I've so many more ideas and visions that I can bring to life with this tool. I'd happily purchase top tier again and again.

I love that you can create tools that are practical and can be used right away. I have a question can you switch the language when displaying to another customer in another country? Also can you connect 2 pickaxes together?

Undoubtedly the best and certainly the most powerful BOT BUILDER with exceptional functionalities. I own three tier two plans for my three different projects. The team is just there whenever you want and their guidance would be piked by all straight to business people. Kudos to the team and my saviour of every query ‘Mr. BEST’ Mike. Can’t wait to see what you come up with next and wishing to see this project reaching heights.

I've seen development slow or stall on products offered on AppSumo. This is not one of those. The development train continues to move along without signs of stopping. I'm so impressed that I increased my deal to highest tier when it came back to AppSumo for its final round.

I missed Pickaxe the first time because I thought it would be too technical and I didn't bother to do research. But then I saw a Pickaxe chatbot in one of the GoBrunch communities, complete with wonderful reviews, and I regretted not buying it. So when it arrived again I bought Tier 3 immediately, without thinking twice!

Pros
- Video Tutorials: There are tutorials about every aspect of Pickaxe and beyond. I have been binge-watching the Pickaxe videos. They are clear, concise, fluff-free, and easy to understand. (If you're a SaaS company without video tutorials, take notes!)

- User-Friendly Backend: Clean, minimalist UI. It's hard not to see where you're going.

- Human-Like Prompts: Prompts are entered as naturally as a human being speaks, and the backend guides you through the entire setup process. Watch the videos on YouTube if you're still confused.

- Knowledge Base: You can upload your own documents to fine-tune the Pickaxes. Since I have a whole database of different notes, I have some work ahead of me.

BYOK: Credits given in the Tiers are nice, but being able to bring your own openai API key (or any of the other options) saves you a lot of money if a lot of people use your Pickaxes.
Support
I haven’t needed them yet, so I can’t say anything about that. But from what I’ve read in the questions and reviews, it shouldn’t be a problem.

Cons
Not GDPR Compliant (Yet): This worried me initially, but after reading that Pickaxe has GDPR compliance on their roadmap for 2025, I was relieved. I think the product is outstanding enough to wait a little while. In the meantime, I’m going to set everything up so I can hit the ground running when GDPR is implemented.

Final notes
I think Pickaxe is going to be big, and I’m very happy they gave us the chance to get in on the ground floor. After watching the videos, I have so many ideas for creative chatbots to support my business that I can’t wait to start making money with them.

I do not usually leave reviews but this is one of my best purchase. Simple and easy to work with and outcome is wonderful. I wish I get more monthly credit but cannot complain with the price given. Give it a try!
