I was happy enough with my receipt managing system. It was good enough from me as a solopreneur managing my own accounting. However, I gave this tool a try anyways and am AMAZED! It works well and is really helpful. Didn't know I needed.

I have been using and taking advantage of a small percentage of functions in this app for months and re-purchased a few more in the past month as this is such a great and useful app. Has been a great experience and I'm very happy with it as well as what is planned.
There are many AppSumo products out there, but very few deserve my time to write a note about it. So, here I am, making a note about SparkReceipt.
This is one of the best products I have ever used, and the fact that it is only $39 per code is absolutely insane. It does what it sets out to do - easily - and can be scaled up for entrepreneurs with multiple businesses and generally a complex tax situation. Oh, you received an invoice for your XYZ biz? No problem, send it to your XYZ Corp SparkReceipt email. Instantly it is recorded and ready for your review later on. But wait, now you have an invoice for your WXY biz? Send that invoice to that WXY SparkReceipt email for the same instantaneous result.
The AI works beautifully as well. It even can recognized potential problematic duplicates, which it does based on an analysis of source, date, pricing, etc. So if for instance you have different submittals (e.g. an invoice and then a post-delivery note with invoice), it will understand that it may be a duplicate.
Get this or you will regret it.
You know I'm a solopreneur and keeping up with expenses, receipts and etc is another task along with the many tasks we already have as a solopreneur. This software has helped me tremendously. Really since I got it I have been emailing all these invoices, receipts, and documents to spark receipt email that it gives you and the system just scans and imports everything for you. It takes like 2 seconds to email or upload a receipt. I love this tool and very thankful for it. Especially for only $39 for a lifetime come on it's a no brainer

I really struggled to find a product that did what I wanted it to. I do not need full accounting software, I just need income and expenses tracking, and the ability to check my bank statements against receipts. SparkReceipt does that and I love that I can just forward email receipts to it and it automatically categorises the expense. So simple to use, really stable and the mobile app is actually pretty good. Easily a product I use regularly and will shout about to anyone who needs "pre-accounting" software. Bonus that you can link your accountant in and run custom reports.
Update: downgrading this to a 2 taco. Now I'm experiencing duplicates and also receipts that are emailed in aren't showing up as how they were submitted so I can't tell if they came in via email, scanned, or mass upload. Also, in the mass upload area there's no option to sort which has caused working my way through reviewing them to be challenging as I have come across duplicates this way.
I really want this to work but it's not there yet unless there are features I'm not seeing.
I was going to go with 3 tacos but it's really 3.5.
Bad first (and there's lots but not insurmountable):
- Android app is mediocre and missing features from web app.
- Auto cropping is not great, I have to fix every single receipt and I am using a black sheet of paper under the receipts to make it easy but still have to fix every one
- Mass Upload feature didn't read them as statements, 100% showed up as receipts and read the titles wrong, some would list as the bank name, some as a line item, and more
- editing anything is clunk and changing between statements, receipts, etc is a chore
- in the statements section, if there's no matching receipt in the system, when I click on the "None" box to see what is there, it just goes to a blank screen and nothing happens
- hard to see the receipt/statement in the preview and usually have to go into the edit section to read the receipt, which means the editor box blocks being able to edit any of the fields
Good stuff:
- receipt scanning is accurate so far as I can tell
- buying extra credits for line extractions is simple
- has great potential and I'm hoping this continues to improve so I can use it as my receipt tool but right now I am uncertain it's robust enough to do the job
Don't regret later that you didn't get it! They will wrap after BlackFriday. And its so awesome you might just use for the rest of your life!
I've tried this for a few weeks and have to say - great job!
Being self-employed I need to easily track expenses and work out where I can claim back VAT at the end of the year.
This app does that well, and the phone app that goes with it also works great.
Being able to export all items as a single PDF is also handy, since my accountant prefers PDFs. It adds in helpful things like the tax due, as well as categorizations for each.
Recommended.
You saved my life.
I had so many expenses and invoices to store, categorized and send to my accountancy team
Now they are all using the app, I only need to take a picture on the go and that's it.
For invoices I just download from my invoice tool and import in SparkReceipt.
Same for bank statement !
