I’ve been using TidyCal for a while and genuinely appreciate its simplicity and affordability. When they introduced the Team (Tier 2) plan, I was excited—it sounded like the perfect way to streamline everything under one roof. I had been juggling multiple accounts, so consolidating seemed like a logical upgrade.
The Tier 2 setup wasn’t quite what I expected, but I made it work. It was still convenient to have everything in one place and considered that a win.
From time to time, I’ve run into calendar sync issues. In the past, support was quick and helpful. But this time? Not so much.
I went back and forth with support for several days with no resolution. Then… complete silence. For five days, I heard nothing. I run a business—I can’t afford to be stuck in limbo. So, I pivoted. I reactivated an old TidyCal account, wiped all the connected calendars, and rebuilt everything from scratch just to launch my event on time.
Technology isn’t perfect—things happen that I know, and am fine with. But what frustrated me was the lack of support. I felt ghosted. And when I finally did get a response after five days, it included a “workaround” I had already tried and told them didn’t work.
Support matters just as much as the technology itself. Bugs are inevitable, but the response to those bugs is what defines the experience. I don’t expect perfection—but I do expect responsiveness, professionalism, and a sense that my time matters.
I like TidyCal for its look and feel. It offers quite a range of options.
What disappointed me strongly refers to lack of regular email notifications (for the time being what is being sent is simply Google Calendar notification). What is more, the process of sending these notifications mixes up my official email address connected to TidyCal with my private Google Calendar and my private Google email address. This is a serious bungle.
Simple to set up, easy to use. This is not just a calendar app! Book appointment, follow up, create database with integrations. This is a big help and I like the desktop get to work with. I don't need too many bells and whistles, they just clutter up the app so this is perfect for me.
I already love TidyCal! The interface is simple, the tool is effective, and it's simple to use with multiple options to customize and tailor your needs. The different calendars integrations works like a charm, and I already set up professional and personal calendars: now my customers can book me when I'm really free! What a relief!
4 out of 5 Tacos... yes, because nothing is perfect. Here is the improvements TidyCal could (must?) do:
👉 When booking a call/visio, TidyCal opens a window that we can't customize. It's not a big deal, but there is a field where the customer has to enter its name. Just its "name". But what name? First name? Last name? Nickname? And just after validating the booking, TidyCal send a mail (we can customize it... but not that much) and we can use the name of the customer. And according to what the customer has entered, it says "Hello John" or... "Hello Doe". Not so good... Of course, we can add a field asking the first name of the customer but we can't use it automatically.
👉 The automated mails: very good idea! But they are not as customizable as it seems. For exemple, if I write something in bold, the receiver will had bold and CAPS LOCK. Why? Another thing: I want to add my complete name and my organization at the end in bold and italics... but it sends _CAP LOCKS BETWEEN TWO UNDERSCORES_. I think TidyCal doesn't generate HTML mails, and that's a shame. We cannot include image (like our logo) too.
👉 And finally, talk about the format date. In the settings, we can choose 12 or 24 hour format, but we can't choose between DD/MM/YYYY or MM/DD/YYYY. It's a shame too: we are not all in America. And admit it: putting the month before the day is absurd 😂
I really think this three "mistakes" can be solved quickly, and then, the tool will be perfect. That's why I took off one taco: we all use this tool for professional purposes... and there are a few details that doesn't look very professional... for now!
But now, let's say it clearly: for $29, it's a no-brainer. Calendly is not going to see me, haha! Of course, I dream of different Booking albums (to separate the different types of products we offer) with its own links... but it's not the priority.
Keep up the good work, and thanks a lot for all you achieved, AppSumo 🙌
I recently started using TidyCal based on a friend's recommendation. I ran into a few issues with integrations at first, but found helpful walkthroughs on YouTube that cleared things up. When TidyCal wasn’t working quite right, the chatbot provided detailed instructions and even offered to contact support on my behalf. I also appreciated that they quickly refunded me when I accidentally upgraded a second time. Even without live support, the platform is well designed and easy to use. Great experience overall!
Overall happy with the product, but there are some bugs that the support team disregarded even after I brought it up - bolding, hyperlinks, any other stylization bugs out when incorporated into emails.
It works with Squarespace. It's easy to use.
i am not geting any proper response on my query
I've been using TidyCal for years and thus far, it's performed exactly how I need it to for my needs. I would highly recommend to anyone trying to steer clear of the pricier options that are overkill for small businesses.
TidyCal is hands-down one of the best values I’ve found on AppSumo. As someone running a small business, I needed a clean, reliable, and easy-to-use scheduling tool without the steep monthly fees most platforms charge. TidyCal delivered exactly that—and more.
The interface is intuitive, and it only took me a few minutes to get my first booking page up and running. I love that I can set different meeting types, connect multiple calendars, and customize availability with ease. The ability to embed it on my website and automatically send confirmation emails gives it a polished, professional feel.
I’ve used Calendly before, but even its conditional logic feels clunky and limiting—you’re honestly better off pairing TidyCal with something like Google Forms or Fillout if you need more advanced routing.
There are a couple of small downsides: no built-in texting for reminders (yet), and no native Make.com integration, which would make automation even smoother. But for the price—especially the lifetime deal—those are easy to work around.
If you're a solo professional or small team looking for a powerful and affordable scheduler, TidyCal is an absolute no-brainer.
TidyCal has been a fantastic addition to my toolkit! I integrated it effortlessly with my WordPress site, and it’s been running smoothly ever since. The interface is clean and user-friendly—for both me and my clients—and setting up booking links took just minutes.
What really stood out is how lightweight and efficient the integration is. It doesn’t slow down my site, and the calendar functionality looks professional and polished right out of the box.
The only minor hiccup I’ve encountered is the lack of CAPTCHA support, which would be a great addition to help filter out spam bookings. I’m hopeful this will be addressed in a future update.
Overall, TidyCal offers incredible value and functionality for the price. Highly recommended if you're looking for a simple, reliable booking solution for your site!
I've had trouble linking it to my iCal. Unfortunately, they have no live support to help me fix the issue, so I'm exchanging an email a day to get the problem resolved. Most of the recommended fixes are already in place, but when people schedule on TidyCal, my iCal doesn't show it. A real-time conversation could probably fix it, but I'm going on week two of not being able to use what I paid for and going through a lot of hassle at the same time. Very disappointing.
