Elevate your audio quality effortlessly
So quick, stunningly simple to use. And saving me hundred on audio-engineering bills. I'm mighty impressed.
I did forget to select the whole track with the slider at one point and was disappointed the pre- and post-processing versions sounded identical. That was due to my human errorism though. Not sure if others have been caught out on this. Even though its not selected, you can still process the uploaded video (wait a couple of minutes) and download the new file - even though nothing was processed (cos the user hadn't selected any of the track). A pop up would be great to see for these cases for those dummies like me or beginners.
I found this tool very help . i just made vdio fropm phone and gave to Xount and it clear all backround voices.
It's super simple but that's why I love it. I've had clients record YouTube shorts with loud city noises around them but Xound pulls it out and keeps their voice crisp and I really dont have to do anything but feed my video to Xound. It also works great when I have my own training courses recorded with background noise I didnt catch during records. Xound has never failed me.
This site is the simplest, most powerful site I have used. Put bad sound in, get great sound out. I gave my voice such clarity that I thought I was in a studio.
Super quick on the output as well.
If I had to be hypercritical, knowing the max file size/time length per file would be helpful if the system is tripping out.
9.5/10
It's one of the easiest and simplest tools I've purchased on Appsumo - it works every time for its core offering but I wish there was more it could do.
- More voice clone choices/options for dubbing including ability to do my own voice
- since the bulk of the processing is local, it would be cool if video upscaling was an option but obviously not the main reason for this tool.
The tool does what it promises flawlessly and I love it. Support is fast and friendly.
The web app is unstable. I uploaded a video and if kept crashing giving me a crash report pop up.
The toggle to hear the different didn’t work. I had to download the processed audio to listen to it. 100% was too much. 50% was too little. 70% wasn’t super clear. 80% was ok bur not perfect background noise removal. I gave up at the end.
It needs to be more efficient, less manual and more reliable
This Tool helped to enhance and prepare the audio for transcription of some low quality smartphone video with very poor sound. The outcome of audio processing by Xound then went through the reap app and produced almost perfect transcription. A dream team I'd say.. I am looking forward to some more options for fine tuning of higher quality input. During past months improvements have already happened.
I liked the deal and fhe features of the app. It really enhances the sound really nicely. Still there is a lot of scope for improvements. Customization options are missing, it should give options of making sound turn into what type of sound.
Warm
Crisp
Louder
Softer
Deep, etc
I used a very cheap mic for testing and found the sound quality is very good.
I uploaded a video file where my video guy is telling me what to do. His voice is ever-so-faint in the background. Then it goes to me speaking.
Xound enhanced my video guy's voice and normalised the volume. I could hear him clearly after the editing process was done. It went from a very distant voice, to a normal sounding voice. Then, when it came to me speaking, it removed the 'open room' type reverb noise, and enhanced the sound of my voice.
I like that I can upload the video directly into Xound, which you can't do with the free version of Adobe Podcast (what I've used until now). This makes Xound more efficient. After doing a comparison with another video with background music + lots of background noise (talking, traffic and construction), Adobe Podcast did a much better job at isolating my voice. With Adobe, all background noise was removed, but with Xound, I could still catch bits of music and the occasional sound in the background, and my voice just didn't sound as clean / clear. For ordinary use cases, though, Xound does really well.
I love that it's all processed locally, for privacy reasons.
I'll need to see what resources it uses, as I did notice the fans in my PC (which isn't anything fancy, mind you) fans start ramping up a bit during the processing. I'd love to know if it's using more CPU or GPU, but in any case, it only took a minute or less to process a 5min video in full.
It'd be cool to upload multiple files and work through them one by one, then select each one to review.
One other thing I noticed is that you can revert it to the original if you don't like the edits.
I would suggest, if you're wanting to test how it works on a longer video, to only highlight a small section before doing the full thing. If you're happy with it, process the edits on the full video. Just in case the audio enhancing isn't to your liking, and you need to do it all over again.
It's important to note that the online app doesn't save your files. You upload, you do the edit, then you save / download, then you go back to the home screen and uploading your next video. This, again, emphasises the need to get it right the first time so you don't need to upload it again.
Overall, I'm super glad I bought this. I love it!
Thanks I was amazed with the tool. It already saved me from rerecording a few hours of video. I could instantly fix my videos that were recorded on the wrong settings. Definitly a keeper.
I regularly use Xound for all of my audio noise cancellations. It's an amazing product, and I highly recommend it.
