Automate data across 6,000+ apps
As a long-time Airtable user and an enthusiast for AI-enhanced workflows, I was thrilled to discover AITable. The concept of combining the versatility of a table-based database with AI features sounded like the perfect solution, especially for users like me who rely heavily on custom automation and data manipulation. However, after diving into the software, I’m left feeling like it hasn’t quite lived up to its potential—yet.
While AITable has a lot of promise, it seems to miss the point of its name: empowering users with AI-driven capabilities. The biggest disappointment for me is their decision to restrict AI functionality to their in-house implementation. Unlike Airtable, which has always been somewhat rigid about how it integrates new features, I had high hopes that AITable would break the mold and offer true flexibility. Specifically, I hoped for the ability to use my own API keys and models, enabling advanced use cases like filling fields dynamically with AI formulas and customizing workflows at a granular level.
Unfortunately, this is not on their roadmap, as confirmed by their team. The refusal to allow users to bring their own AI keys (BYOAK) or choose their preferred models feels like a step backward. It places unnecessary limitations on what could be a game-changing platform for power users and innovators. Instead of focusing on flexibility, AITable appears to be taking a similar approach to Airtable by gating the AI functionality within their ecosystem.
This lack of openness is disappointing. I invested in AITable hoping it would someday cater to advanced workflows, but their current direction seems to mirror the frustrating limitations of other platforms. While the software has potential and could be a great tool for more basic use cases, it’s not the solution for those who want true AI integration without being locked into proprietary systems.
I’ll continue to watch their development, but for now, it feels like a missed opportunity to truly redefine what AI-enhanced tables could be.
They struggled to help with a basic access requests. I would say if you don't expect to need any support this is a good product.
I was excited at first, as it's a great alternative to Airtable, but the more time passes, the more it feels like the team is understaffed.
There is still no N8N integration.
We are currently in the 5th hour of a downtime and no team member have posted a message about it. We are left in the unknown as to why there is downtime, who is working on it, are they even aware?
If they want to become a real alternative to Airtable, they need to work on their reliability and team support.
I bought AITable Tier 3 on AppSumo and relied on the good reviews. I simply ignored the bad reviews. A big mistake!
When entering the email address to activate the product, I unfortunately made a typing error. As a result, the product was registered to the wrong email address. You do not create a password during activation, but always receive a link by e-mail to log in. As a result, I was able to test the software for 4 days. There are a lot of bugs in the software and every time you report a bug you need to enter in a form around 10 different fields. The software was promoted as similar to AirTable, but it is far behind the functions of AirTable.
After 4 days I was loggen out when restaron the Computer and the I was not able to log in to AITable. I have now tried for over two weeks together with AITable and AppSumo to correct the incorrectly entered email address, but AITable was obviously not able to do this.
They must be a really high-tech company if they can't even manage to change an admin email address.
AITable's proposed solution: I should return the product to AppSumo. And I was happy to do so.
My question is: if AITable can't even manage to customize a simple admin mail address. What is the support like when you have a “real” problem?
I can't recommend AITable to anyone.
I’m starting to use this tool to help drive some of my agency data, but I found it to be very USA-oriented by default. There are some very nice options to localise it per your needs, but it fails to do so in many other ways. Weeks start on Sundays in the calendar view and this cannot be changed. The tool uses dots instead of commas for currencies. Moreover, it is unable to set the default currency format within the currency column, making it tedious and manual to adjust every time you open a new currency column. Some currency settings when you go deeper in formula views are much less flexible which is counterintuitive for an AI tool and counterproductive for a tool that needs to help you to be more productive...
I would also like to have widgets more customisable (or more AI?), to have an option to follow the (filtered) views data instead to be locked to the view of preference...
I just scratched the surface so it may be more (good and the bad) but these are the things I would change immediately to make it more (out of USA) friendly.
When it comes to AIO (All-in-One), I'm the guy behind the brand. To have everything I need available to me in one UI has been a goal since day one. My thoughts, data storing processes and automations are seeing true organization for the first time since my company pivoted to AI.
I'm coming over from the likes of Bitrix24, Atlassian/Jira (which it feels most like to me), and even MY OWN SaaS CRM (AIOFlow™) ... so, I won't bother going into the details. If you ever get the opportunity to grab this offer, do it. This is enterprise level software for the cost of a couple months of service. Looking forward to any improvements they bring over the years, and expecting to be a very satisfied partner in the future!
This is simply beautiful. It would be worth having if that was its only benefit but it's also an excellent database and extremely useful for automations. It took me a while to learn how to use the automations in make.com but have now worked it out. (make sure that the trigger is record matches conditions and then that every field you use 'is not empty' otherwise it triggers to soon),there are similar problems in other database options but this works.
Love the interface and it is easy to use! Have just completed an automation where I combined with Procesio to retrieve Youtube transcripts. Aitable and Procesio definitely makes a great combination. Now I am only using just Aitable to manage all my projects. It definitely has the potential to grow and surpass all its competitors. Keep up the great work!
I am very happy to use AI Table for my business needs. Although it may not be as polished as some of its competitors, I have a strong feeling that it has the potential to become a superior product in the future. The user interface is intuitive, and the core functionalities are solid, making it a valuable tool for managing and analyzing data.
One of the most exciting aspects of AI Table is its potential for growth. If the developers could introduce a scripting method that can be triggered based on specific conditions, it would transform AI Table into a powerful and flexible tool. This feature would allow users to automate repetitive tasks, create custom workflows, and respond dynamically to changes in data, significantly enhancing productivity and efficiency.
In summary, AI Table is a promising product with a lot of potentials. With continuous improvements and the addition of advanced features like condition-based scripting, it could very well become a leader in the market.
1. Good product, that combines features of a few products in one.
2. AI is in the name of the product, however even with Tier5 user gets ONLY 400 AI chatbot messages per MONTH using ChatGPT4o. Not chats, 400 messages! ChatGPT 3.5 is subpar and probably no one uses it for anything more serious nowadays. I understand that it is an economically unviable option to offer access to AI tokens in LTD. However, then BYOK option has to be offered for product to be taken seriously. Afforai and other successful Appsumo LTDs have offered BYOK. It is an absolute must for AI LTDs. I decided to wait 60 days and see if BYOK is offered and return product if not. Will update my review to 5 stars in such case.
I was looking for a CRM that can handle my data and I found Aitable, which sounds promising. It looks like Airtable, yet they have a twist with AI. I find it useful, particularly the automation part where any new entry records, especially those who sign up on my form, will trigger an email send such as a "Welcome Note." I find it very valuable as I've connected it with Slack notifications for all of my sales.
Plus, since I am using Trafft, I've added a webhook for all of the clients who book me to be recorded in Aitable, which will then have an automated status like win or loss. There's a lot of room for improvement for this app, but I am pretty positive—they have an active community plus YouTube guides. I haven't explored their AI chatbot yet, but I already decided to give them 5 tacos. It's a bit rare to have this type of tool in the market for a fraction of the price.
I hope someday they will have mobile app and increase the number of automations.
It's (understandably) not as feature rich as the competition yet, especially the forms and cell formatting, but it's easy to use and I especially love the possibility of restricting views and columns.
I am expecially excited there's an open-source version. I love open-source!
