Email marketing software for email marketers
Appsumo is filtering low reviews. I left a rather lengthy 1 star review stating real and honest feedback and they (appsumo) have pulled it.
I cannot over state how bad this tool and this experience really is.
This is the worst experience I've ever had with any tool I've ever purchased on appsumo.
FACT: Their emails (from them) go into Gmail spam.
Let's be honest most people will compare SME EDM platforms to Mailchimp still. I was an early adopter of that platform and it is interesting to see how it has developed. With Blastable I get the impression they are a top competitor of Mailchimp and other more mature platforms straight out of the gate. This thing delivers and I am looking forward to seeing where it will still go. I purchased Tier 3 and although that meets my immediate and near future needs I'm considering upgrading a further tier or two.
1) Be Aware: "Multiple Sender Profiles" = 5 sender profiles. Just tell me it's 5.
I feel mislead and deceived. Now I'm on alert wondering what else has been set up to be intentionally misleading/deceptive since obvious thought went into this misdirection. They also do not display any limits of sender profiles in your account profile yet they have the subscriber limit posted.
A Perfect Example of Misleading Marketing Tactics At Its Best Right Here!
2) My welcome "You're IN" email from your platform went directly to spam. This email is from you and your automation with your content in it. Not at all like the explanation offered on another low review as to why your emails went to spam.
3) This is not a good "warm fuzzy feeling" about buying this tool.
I'm tempted to stop here and just refund.
I’ve always been a bit wary of email marketing tools because they tend to overpromise and underdeliver. But Blastable just delivers as it promises. At first, I was hooked by all the cool features that seemed just right for my growing business. What really sealed the deal, though, is how rock-solid it is. I’ve run several campaigns without any hiccups, no downtime or glitches. There was this one time I needed to send out a campaign over a holiday weekend, and I was super worried about getting help in time. But the support team came through fast, and everything went off quickly. If you’re fed up with unreliable services, Blastable might just be the reliable partner you need.
Finding the right email marketing tool felt like searching for a needle in a haystack. After trying several options that didn’t meet my needs, I stumbled upon Blastable in AppSumo. What really impressed me was how intuitive the platform is. I’m not the most tech-savvy person, but I found it easy to navigate and set up my campaigns without any hassle. This is also the real game-changer for me that it's a system that is easy to use for a non-tech guy.
I will give them the benefit of the doubt because of the generous email limits on this deal and the deliverability, even though it needs to include email form creation. We need to be able to edit the forms inline instead of editing the text on the side panel. We also need to be able to auto-align elements and space them out by entering numbers such as padding, etc. Some email form templates have alignment issues right out of the box.
What it excels at so far from testing is Deliverability to my Gmail, which ends up in my inbox. It didn't go to the promotion tab or spam, which is the most critical aspect of email software (Deliverability). I did send it from one of my domains that has been used before, so it is recognized. I would appreciate it if anyone could do a test from a new domain.
One of Blastable's key strengths is its user interface, which is notably simpler and less complex than other email software like Tarvent (currently on AppSumo). This focus on simplicity is a significant advantage in the email software market.
The Email Design Template module is all right but could be better.
I loaded a test email list I built in Aweber, but it was rejected because I needed to answer their questions in time. Now I know you have about 24 hours to respond, showing that it is a warm list, which it is. I have sent Aweber emails to them with good delivery. It took their team 24 hours to review my imported list, and I had 24 hours to respond.
I will do a more extensive email delivery test by building a list within Blastable single opt-in to update my review. I will also test the automation and autoresponders. I have designed some and like the layout, but I need to test them on a list I build within Blastable. If the tests go well on a larger scale, I am considering getting more Tier 6 licenses as long as I can combine them into one account.
One area where Blastable could improve is in its integrations. The lack of integration with ConvertBox is a significant drawback, as it forces users to resort to webhooks with Albato. A direct integration would preserve the auto-tagging ability within ConvertBox, enhancing the user experience.
Please consider removing the Blastable branding, at least at Tier 6. By keeping it on all Tiers, you are definitely missing out on Sumoling sales. I understand including it on Tiers 1-5.
I thought I found a good one, once again, I was wronged by the sales speech.
Turns out they have to "review your email list", which is a word for scrutinize your prospect list, as they put it: "We do require users with warmed, opted in lists [...] to make sure our users do not Blast a high volume of invalid emails because it affects the integrity of our IPs".
So, forget about scrappers and cleaning list, if you want to send a million emails (I saw the comments), you need an actualized list of 1 million customers who signed up through your website. B2B emails do not pass the requirements.
I was trying to replace Aweber but Blastable just isn't quite there yet. The designing of emails is far behind that of Aweber and even though I didn't test the delivery some people are saying it is going to spam.
Delivery, Automation and Email Design are super important to me so this needs a lot of work.
I wanted this to work to move over from Active Campaign as it's expensive.
However, it was a bad experience.
Firstly, Blastable's own transactional email went into "spam". Also, a test email also went into spam. I didn't dare go further than that.
Support was not good at all. Sometimes they responded immediately, and at other times (when I tried to mention the above), their response was very delayed and furthermore they didn't really read what I had written and misinterpreted what I said and kept giving explanations and excuses that didn't make sense or because they didn't really read what I said.
For example, I asked them why their transactional email went into spam, and they responded as though it's my transactional email - but it's theirs, not mine. And when I asked why my test blast went into spam too, they said it was blank - which wasn't true. I sent a normal email with subject and text. And they kept talking about how gmail needed warming up, when I wasn't using a gmail but a proper domain email. So they obviously aren't paying attention to what I've been communicating through support. It gets tiring to explain things over and over again.
I also don't know how a product that claims to optimize deliverability with AI have their very own transactional email go to the spam folder. Transactional emails are not meant to go to spam at all. So there's something really wrong here. Again, these are NOT my own transactional emails - this is their own email from their own domain!
I tried this product because I wanted to test email deliverability. That's my main purpose. I have about 25k emails - all warm emails and not cold at all. All opted in emails. If they can help me get good deliverability as they claim they can, I'll be glad to be proven wrong and change my rating. However, if support is going to be slow and not read what I have to say, then I don't want to waste my time.
Colorful UI, did not appreciate the request for phone.
Btw contacted support for forms, that cannot have mandatory fields, a very important missing function to get leads.
The answer given was "edit the HTML directly".
Not so useful for me at this stage.
I’ve been searching for a solid email marketing tool like Blastable for over a year, and I finally found it! Not only does it deliver on features, but its support is absolutely fantastic. They’re quick to respond, super helpful, and really seem to care about getting you set up for success. Whenever I’ve had a question or needed assistance, they’ve gone out of their way to make sure I’m sorted. If you’re looking for great support and a powerful tool, Blastable is the way to go! Eat Your Heart Out Mailchimp, Brevo, Send in Blue, and all the other rip-off solutions out there.
I recently had the pleasure of using Blastable, and it has genuinely exceeded my expectations! From the moment I started, the ease of use stood out. Setting up the app was a breeze, thanks to its intuitive interface. I was able to get everything running smoothly in no time, without needing any extensive technical knowledge.
One aspect that truly impressed me was the fantastic support from Ryland and her development team. They went above and beyond to assist me with customizing Blastable to meet our specific needs. They helped us integrate with their API, which provided the best solution for our unique requirements, The level of detail and commitment from the team was remarkable, making me feel confident in the decision I made to use their platform.
After experiencing the support firsthand, I decided to upgrade to Tier 3 instantly. The value and capabilities at this level, combined with the exceptional assistance provided by the team, made it a no-brainer. It's clear that Blastable invests in its users and prioritizes making the experience as seamless as possible.
The only drawback I've encountered so far is the branding in the outgoing emails, which currently features the Blastable logo. However, I'm confident that if fellow Sumolings share this feedback, the team will be open to working on a solution to remove it in the future.
Overall, Blastable is a fantastic tool backed by an incredibly supportive team. If you're looking for an easy-to-use solution with great customization and stellar support, I highly recommend giving it a try! You won’t be disappointed
