Blastable Review – Extremely Restrictive Platform with Outdated UX

Blastable Review – Extremely Restrictive Platform with Outdated UX

I purchased the top-tier lifetime deal for Blastable on AppSumo, but unfortunately my experience with the platform has been extremely disappointing.

The first issue is the user experience, which feels very outdated. The interface looks and behaves like something from the late 1990s. Navigation is clunky, the workflows are not intuitive, and the overall product feels unfinished. For a modern email marketing platform, the UX should be one of the strongest aspects of the product, but here it is clearly lacking.

It also feels quite obvious that the people behind the platform are not technical founders. The development appears to be outsourced, and the product lacks the polish and iterative improvements you would normally expect from a team actively building and improving their own software.

The restrictions imposed on users are where the real problems start.

For example, you are limited to uploading only 1,000 contacts per day. This means that if you have a list of 30,000 contacts, it will take 30 days just to upload your own data before you can even begin using the platform properly. For a tool that is supposed to help you run marketing campaigns, this restriction makes it practically unusable.

Another major concern is the account suspension policy tied to open rates. If your campaigns do not achieve a 20% open rate, your account can simply be suspended. This is an incredibly arbitrary rule and completely unrealistic for many legitimate marketing lists. Open rates vary by industry, audience, and campaign type — penalising users based on a fixed threshold makes no practical sense.

Because of these limitations, I have not been able to run a single successful campaign on the platform, despite having paid for the highest lifetime tier. Every attempt to use it runs into some kind of limitation or restriction.

From conversations and feedback I’ve seen elsewhere, I also haven’t come across many genuinely positive experiences from users, which raises concerns about the long-term viability of the platform.

In its current state, I cannot recommend anyone purchasing a lifetime deal for Blastable. The platform is overly restrictive, the UX is outdated, and the policies make it difficult to actually use the software as intended.

If the company continues operating this way, I would honestly be surprised if the platform remains competitive or sustainable in the long term.

Verdict:
A very restrictive email platform with dated usability and policies that make it difficult to run real campaigns. I regret purchasing the lifetime deal.
