AI powered answers using workplace apps
Originally I was able to find files and emails. It was slow but functional. 2.0 destroyed any useful. It's just gpt but dumb. Much dumber. It can't find anything. It bills itself as a 2nd brain but it's not even a 2nd rear.
Worked fine in the first version. But after some updates you feel like you working on a MVP without any rights. With the last update the integrations for Outlook, OneDrive and Teams vanished. So this product is worthless.
"Upgrade to Pro plan to select this model"
Broken promises already as stated by last comment ?
(Selecting different models worked fine right after you deployed this feature, a few weeks ago)
Here's the thing:
I'm trying to create a basic custom chatbot.
Whenever I chose an LLM other than gpt-4o... it says please upgrade to "Pro" for access.
I have Pro!
The deal terms promise Pro plan upgrades as standard.
Yet, here we are, 1 or 2 months after the deal has ended and they are already going back on their word.
@appsumo what's even the point of having deal terms if you're gonna let every dishonest developer come here and treat sumolings like garbage?
it seems as if as long as they give you some sob story about server costs, you'll bend us all over and tell us to take it.
what's worse is, they are blocking us from using new updates... even though we are paying with our own api keys!
disgraceful.
Spent hefty on the highest tier hoping I could start becoming productive with my knowledge base. But it turns out hardly making something useful. Sometimes the search doesn't return anything, and other times it fetches irrelevant data. And even if it does find something, the answer is incorrect. For example, asking for the latest updates of a specific project name on JIRA returns JIRA product updates from Gmail. It's supposed to save me time, and not taking my time to guess or experiment. So I stopped there to avoid wasting more time after 30 min getting nothing. Tried again weeks later, and no difference. Now with the last try a few days before my refund is due, I have no choice but to return it.
Note that my results are not related to the outage happened on 8/21.
I have purchased Tier 4 of this tool and I wanted it to work but it doesn't. Every time I add an app it goes in a loop but never connects the app's. The apps I have connected it crawls and takes minutes to respond. I hope this gets resolved but just the lack of easy to implement has me only giving this 2 tacos. Ironically this feature has just been added to ClickUp and works quickly and smoothly.
Could not use for the purpose i bought it but that is due to data security at my workplace, no fault of the app. Using it personally has be great, not a lot of use yet but saved so much time the few times I have.
The idea is great, and in just the first 2 weeks they added more integrations which was promising! However, it doesn't really pick up files that I am searching for, the "chat with results" is quite useless when asking a simple question (example: type "show only excel files" and it returns me an instruction on how to do that IN THE APP (eg. OneDrive) which defies the point of aving a central hub to search everywhere.
Another frustrating thing is that some of the files require you to "download" them... 😮. (from SharePoint/OneDrive) why ?? ? since the file is already on our cloud system, we could just read it online!
So yes, a good concept, but needs a bit more work (and using it everyday by your testers!)
Short review - this is an app you won't think you will need until you have it. The first time you have to find something buried in a Google Drive, or a Doc, or a Gmail.... you get the picture. You will thank me for telling you to spend a minimal amount of cash.
Impressive search results across gmail and dropbox.
I am looking forward to the clickup and local HD connections - those are really key for me.
I would like to see the ability to sort results by date, and to filter results by date.
Oh, and the customer service response on chat has been great.
I decided to use Findr to check files and see how it performed.
It's fast enough and in my cluttered drive folders I could finally find the right content, that's something I needed!!
I connected 3 drives and 2 Gmail in less than 2 minutes and it found what i needed in about 20 seconds.
I'd like that the history will keep the results and not only the file names found.
The app has a simple and efficient UI and UX, I hope they will improve over time by adding more features and supported drives, but so far it's a nice keeper!
It's a good idea, but when you use it in real life, it doesn't work as expected. I was hoping to use the tool as a hub for all my web apps so I wouldn't have to navigate through so many web pages, but it has turned into a plugin for Gmail. It's great, but not perfect. So, I use it to find emails and important topics, but not as a platform to use all my tools in one place as their page suggests. In my opinion, it's very limited.
