keeper for me
Thanks team appsumo and Kudra
I am not a huge fan of long any annoying onboarding processes, but Kudra lack on proper documentation and accurate support docs is really disappointing.
User interface constantly freeze, Google sheets integration (and many others) issue a security warning of unverified app (and essentially do not work).
The product has a lot of promise, but I'm afraid it doesn't live up to it at the moment.
I've created a support ticket and booked a demo call and I will be very happy to amend this review once all issues are resolved.
At the moment, not a very good customer experience.
Hey Sumolings - I've bought hundreds of deals here, including some like Parsio, etc., to parse documents, but no tool has worked as easily and accurately for me as Kudra. It fits 100% of my needs, and it's easy to create custom workflows and train it. Initially, I had some problems, so I arranged a call with Walid, and he showed me how to get things done, and it works. If you are looking for a parsing tool, this is your chance - give it a try, and you'll see it will fit your needs. If not, you know you can ask for a refund, but trust me - you won't need it.
I have been using Kudra for couple days and I am truly impressed.
In my accounting firm, I deal with a lot of complex financial statement in a table format like balance sheets, Cash flow, bank transactions in PDF format that I need to manually trancribe to a CSV file and manually analyze for each of my client.
This process is really tedious as my team spends many hours manually extracting and calculating different financial ratios.
Kudra makes the automated data extraction and analysis a breeze, saving me countless of hours.
Using their table extraction service, I am able to parse all my tables from the PDFs with almost 100% accuracy but also feed each table to chatGPT and ask it to calculate financial ratios and make summaries.
Although the chatGPT analysis was accurate in most cases, there were instances where it made mistakes by using the wrong financial numerical values ( I guess this is an intensic issue of chatGPT). But overall using this combination of table extraction + chatGPT saved me a ton of time to analyze my PDF at scale.
Another issue with Kudra is their onboarding, it took me a while to understand the app and be able to use all its functionalities, I hope they will improve their self-pnboarding in the future.
Overall I am very satisfied with the app. I think this is a really strong platform for document extraction and this opporunity shouldn't be missed.
Kudra promises you a lot but actually delivers very little.
Most important: the AI OCR and AI parsing seem to be quite expensive. With hundreds/thousands of LTD users, will the company operate sustainably?
- Most of their template AI "models" are just OpenAI prompts which you can't even see or modify.
- You must use your own ChatGPT key to use Kudra. The AI models working without the key are pretty useless (unless you're doing accounting or very niche tasks).
- Even when you use your own ChatGPT key, the platform still limits you on the number of pages you can parse per month. There's no sense in this since you're spending your money on parsing. We should have unlimited parsing when using our own key.
- Post-processing options are very limited.
- The AI models and their usage are unclear. For example, the "Email Parser" model. What does it do? There's zero indication. Does it parse emails? Nope. Why does it have an OCR engine? Does it extract email addresses from PDFs? Possibly? The fields list is odd: ORG, CARDINAL, LAW, GPE, MONEY, etc. How is it related to email parsing?
- Bug: When you create a workflow (which are VERY limited - max 5 on the highest tier) and use the ChatGPT block, it doesn't allow you to add a prompt.
- When you add your Google account, the popup from Google says that the app you are using is not secure and suggests not to continue.
Overall, I had the impression that the founders simply added low-quality publicly available free AI models that don't work as expected, and are connected to ChatGPT, which you can only use with your key. Therefore, it's quite pointless since you can directly use ChatGPT or Open Interpreter locally on your laptop for the same parsing tasks.
Sorry, I don't see much value in Kudra at the moment...
Kudra, the latest IDP software available on a Lifetime deal, presents an incredible opportunity that shouldn't be missed. This review will touch upon its functionalities, user experience, and some concerns based on initial usage.
Kudra boasts an intuitive design that, despite a bit of a learning curve, generally facilitates a smooth user experience. The instructional videos are particularly helpful, allowing users to quickly test out features using PDFs with fairly good results.
The software includes a variety of tools for data processing. However, the distinctions between tools like the Custom Extractor and Zero Shot Ner could be clearer. Information on pre-trained models is somewhat lacking, which could be an area for improvement.
I suggest several enhancements that could significantly improve workflow efficiency:
The ability to rearrange labels and import/export them for use in different workflows.
Adding CSV as an additional data export option alongside Excel.
More detailed explanations about model parameters would also be highly beneficial.
A notable limitation is the document processing cap of 800 documents, which users can quickly reach, potentially hindering larger projects. There is also a reported bug where a model remains in "Training the model" status without the option to cancel or delete it, blocking the creation of new models.
In conclusion, Kudra offers robust features with a few areas needing attention to enhance user satisfaction and functionality. Despite some issues, the lifetime deal makes it a worthwhile investment for those looking to harness the power of intelligent document processing.
Merci, Kudra, for this opportunity to advance our document handling capabilities.
I already posted a question regarding a use case I have, where Kudra might give great value added. As I was very interested to see whether it might work out, I decided to jump the gun already and went Tier 2 to dip my toes into the water. Especially as I saw that they cited one other key player from my industry, Robert Half.
To give a short overview: I work as an IT recruiter and always anonymize the CVs of the candidates I work with to eliminate potential bias. This is usually a pain, as it involves meticulous searching to ensure that all personally identifying information has been removed and that nothing has been left in. As you can imagine, this causes me about as much joy as tax filing day and wisdom tooth extraction. But more often.
When I tried the pure Resume Parser function with my own CV as a test case though, I felt disappointed with the result. My CV is in German, as I operate from Germany. The classification accuracy was at about 40% - 50%. Names were mislabelled as skills, skills were mislabelled as locations or not recognized at all, company names were not found, locations were mislabelled... basically, at this stage, this would cause me even more work on the CV parsing side of things. As I use Zoho Recruit, I can compare it to the included CV parser of Zoho and have to admit that even though that one has nowhere near the features that kudra touts, it at least works correctly in 80% of the cases in labelling and extracting the relevant information.
I would really like kudra to work and be able to not only parse (again, that is the easy part) but concurrently be able to strip out or xxx out any identifying data. Actually, "like" does not correctly adress the emotion I would feel. Love kudra with the intensity of a thousand suns comes closer.
But at the current stage, I am sad and underwhelmed. Perhaps I did something wrong? Would be delighted to change the review if it helps me achieve what I am looking for.
Just testing it out, and it did work for me. So far so good, worked on complicated tables that I tried and looking forward to trying out all the features.
Btw, this isn't a big deal for me since I know the app's url but fyi the Login button on your main website's header doesn't go anywhere, the href is just '#' for me.
1) I did not manage to make it work at all. I was not able to create any workflow -- I got a message that it is time to upgrade my plan because I am allowed to have 0 Workflows..Lol https://share.zight.com/o0uLygpG
2) As I understand I need to have a paid OpenAI subscription -- I do not have one and I do not want to pay OpenAI in order to test kudra..
3) No live chat support -- No support in general
If those things wll be fixed I may keep it. I will wait 24 hours or I will refund. Not a good start for kudra.
