Kudra promises you a lot but actually delivers very little.
Most important: the AI OCR and AI parsing seem to be quite expensive. With hundreds/thousands of LTD users, will the company operate sustainably?
- Most of their template AI "models" are just OpenAI prompts which you can't even see or modify.
- You must use your own ChatGPT key to use Kudra. The AI models working without the key are pretty useless (unless you're doing accounting or very niche tasks).
- Even when you use your own ChatGPT key, the platform still limits you on the number of pages you can parse per month. There's no sense in this since you're spending your money on parsing. We should have unlimited parsing when using our own key.
- Post-processing options are very limited.
- The AI models and their usage are unclear. For example, the "Email Parser" model. What does it do? There's zero indication. Does it parse emails? Nope. Why does it have an OCR engine? Does it extract email addresses from PDFs? Possibly? The fields list is odd: ORG, CARDINAL, LAW, GPE, MONEY, etc. How is it related to email parsing?
- Bug: When you create a workflow (which are VERY limited - max 5 on the highest tier) and use the ChatGPT block, it doesn't allow you to add a prompt.
- When you add your Google account, the popup from Google says that the app you are using is not secure and suggests not to continue.
Overall, I had the impression that the founders simply added low-quality publicly available free AI models that don't work as expected, and are connected to ChatGPT, which you can only use with your key. Therefore, it's quite pointless since you can directly use ChatGPT or Open Interpreter locally on your laptop for the same parsing tasks.
Sorry, I don't see much value in Kudra at the moment...
