I have been using Letterly ever since their first Appsumo deal, so probably for over a year. It is one of those apps I did end up using a lot; it is now in the tight group of my go-tos.

I had one license on my phone, and I created so much incredible content (including parts of my last book) just talking into my phone while walking my dog or running around doing chores. I am rarely that insightful sitting at my desk. So this was a life changer.

The AI editor is ok. I personally like writing with my authentic voice, which is my self-expression and crucial for the final output. I just get it to clean my speech up grammatically and break it into paragraphs. I still prefer it to transcription apps because I can do that. Editing transcripts is waaaay too overwhelming.

This time, I got the second license for the web version, and I love that all my Letterly voice notes from the phone are synced; it makes it even easier to access and select what I need to edit. Highly recommend for anyone from content creators and writers, to team collaborations, or simply recording personal thoughts to be able to process life out loud!

Okay, so here's my review of Letterly AI, I really enjoy this software, it's very easy to use and kind of intuitive. I'm actually currently writing the review, or speaking the review as it were. Haha, recording the review in real time using Letterly AI transcribing feature. It's pretty nice and sleek looking, I really enjoy the whole rewriter options and you can customize new rewriters to fit your style that you like, I've been having a lot of fun with that. I think the only thing I dislike about it is trying to delete some of the custom rewriters that you make. I can't find where to delete that, or where to delete them at. So far the microphone recordings seem to be doing great, and it captures everything perfectly. I've been looking at the translations and they seem to be doing pretty well, I don't speak any other languages, but you know, just playing around with the features, but I really enjoy this app and I'll might invest in another code sooner or later, just to have it on a different device because this is a really fun app to play with.

I've purchased Letterly and use it on Android.

I think few key features are missing for me :

* integration with n8n (i know we can do it true webhook instead)

* sending audio file in the webhook / zapier

* automatic trigger the action at the end of the recording option. so no need to do it manually each time

* send to google drive automatically or sync the audio file + text

I give an excellent rating for this application. The developers have done outstanding work here and Letterly is increasingly becoming one of my favorite programs that I use daily - multiple times a day! What I particularly like is the reliable daily use without problems, continuous product development, and intuitive operation. The quality and development progress have convinced me so much that I immediately bought another code.
A reminder function would be a great addition! The ability to set notifications or reminders for individual notes would further increase productivity.
Congratulations to the team for the excellent work - keep it up!

Finally, a program that can record my dictations where I can pause and think without the recording stopping, unlike the built-in Windows recorder, which creates new short sentences that are hopeless to try to edit. The program is incredibly easy to use. I use the web version, and it's just a matter of pressing record and starting to speak. Afterwards, there are several prompts you can use to improve the text, simplify, shorten. You can write your own custom prompts, which is very helpful.

However, I think the program lacks two important features, and I'm a bit surprised that it has been around for so long without these basic functions.
- One is the ability to pause your dictation, fix the text, see what's missing, and then continue speaking into the same text. Unfortunately, that's not possible; you can only do one round, then you have to start a new dictation. It's a bit frustrating, and I hope that feature will be added soon.
- Also, when you have a lot of different notes, dictations, or whatever you want to call them, and you want to delete them, you have to select them one by one. Come on. Surely there should be a bulk "Select all," "All within the same day," "All within the entire segment." Come on, it's so basic that it should be here too.

As a pure voice recording tool, it's a fantastic program. But I wonder a bit why it doesn't have basic features. It makes me a little puzzled. I also hope to see a roadmap so we can see what's coming. But it's safe to say that the program does what it's supposed to without a lot of frills. We appreciate that.

P.S. When you copy your recorded text, all formatting is lost, which is incredibly annoying as you have to redo the formatting where you paste it.

Does what it says on the tin. Can be a real timesaver and productivity enhancer.
Currently, just two things I'd love to see developed.
1. ability to launch and paste text directly in any app (like Superwhisper)
2. oftentimes the Ai email rewriter changes the copy more than id like it to do so. I'd like an option that formats the text i say into an email but does not change the text (except for removing filler words)

Like the integration (widgets) and the ease of use; license model one time fee per device is also refreshing these days.

Results of text recognition are good and very useful. Love it!

It's not really fair to ask for a review after just a few days. With that caveat in mind, I would say that my initial experiences (language notes taken on the go, recording a 90-minute meeting with six speakers, and similar tasks) have been very positive. Letterly really offers much more than just transcripts. I still need to try out Letterly for dictating longer texts intended for publication, but I'm optimistic.

I checked to the Q&A section and checked to see if it covered "Cantonese" as one of languages, and Customer Support says "Yes". To my disappointment, it does not.

I love how easy it is to use!
