All-in-one design suite tool
Haven’t bought it already?
I like the Pixelied so far. It's a great addition to the web-based graphic editing tools.
Features that I like:
- Easy-to-use interface
- Option to copy, move and duplicate
- Templates for different social media needs (Linkedin, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Youtube, Email, Book cover and many others). Gives you a quick start
- Nice Image Collection to use
- Use Image AI to create images, icons, illustrations, logos. patterns and graphics
- Mockups for posters, banners, postcards, magazines, flyers etc
- Wide variety of elements including shapes, arrows, emojis,
- Ability to organize using Workspaces and folders
- Brand Preset is a blessing
- Option to convert image between 9 different formats including PNG, SVG, JPG, Giv, TIFF, WebP and others.
Features that need Improvements:
Choosing the Convert option from the top menu takes you to the site's public page. That page has google Ads running. Remove those ads, please.
I have checked and pixelied hasn't updated for over a year. They also don't answer any of their emails.
The good:
- Has a good number of templates for product marketing. These templates are different to what you would find in Canva as well.
- A good number of AI tools but I didn't get to test them all.
- Mockups are great and I believe this is a feature you can't find in Canva.
The bad:
- It's lacking the small things which make it frustrating to use. Can't cut + paste to other slides, can't add rulers/gridlines, objects don't snap to edges of the canvas, and can't paste an image from clipboard. However, the worst of them all is dealing with layered objects. It's too much of a chore to select objects behind other objects to adjust or move them around. Even though Canva now has a list of objects list wherein you can select and rearrange layers, back in the day when they didn't, it was still easier to select objects with some keyboard shortcuts.
- Templates are too few. I can't find a Halloween template.
Pixelied has lots of potential but not for me right now.
You can't define dimensions in inches. I need to develop print media often, so would buy it again if that feature becomes available. For now, I decided to get a refund, unfortunately.
Pixelied meets my needs for a few of my side hustles. I was impressed with the quantity of templates and editing abilities. I highly recommend!
Overall it's a decent tool. I am using it regularly and appreciate the features like templates that make it very quick and easy to create images for social posts. My complaints are these. The AI image generator is not great and credits go too quickly trying to get a good result. The interface has some quirks with controls for elements sometimes showing in different places or being hard to find (e.g. for branding).
Customer service has taken a drop. In the beginning their support was ok. I purchased this last February. I would get a response within 2-3 days. Recently I asked for help and sent two questions. I mentioned it was urgent for a project and I would appreciate a quick response. I received a response 2 weeks later and 5 days. Both times I had to send follow ups because I wasn't receiving a response. The ai images generated were being cut off. So my credits were being used for the image to be no good. Their response: "The AI generation tool is still in beta phase and may encounter issues such as cropping of the edges". No reimbursement of the credits that were used. I also find the amount of ai images you can generate limited per month. Another let down was that they don't have glyphs. If you're a designer and use fonts for logos etc.. well you can't use Pixelied. If you have purchased a font and want to upload it, you can. But you can't see or use the glyphs for it, which personally for me defies the whole purpose of getting a premium font if I can't use it properly. I bought Pixellied because I wanted to be my one all editor. Unfortunately, this hasn't been the case and I have had to resort to bits and bobs of other software to use in combination. The only thing I use it for which are good points is save as transparent image, and sometimes I'll use the symbols. For illustrations it would be nice to have a search bar so we could quickly search for the illustrations we want, instead of using the category toggle to go through each category. It would also be useful to have a background remover, magic eraser, and magic expand tool. Overall, it's an okay tool, but I really hope they are innovating and adding new features and not just a company that takes your money and says here you go that's it. As a customer, when I purchase something I am expecting adequate customer service and a company improving it's quality and services and customer service with time. I look forward to see what they propose and how they do this.
AI tools are underwheling, along side any other feature compared to industry standard editors.
Pixelied stands out as an impressive alternative to Canva, offering a robust set of tools for graphic design. Its user-friendly interface, extensive template library, and powerful editing features make it a breeze to create professional-quality designs.
Whether you're a beginner or an experienced designer, Pixelied provides everything you need to produce stunning visuals quickly and efficiently. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a versatile and cost-effective design solution!
I love how easy it is to use, find what you need, add your own images, find your brand colors.
I wish there were more templates, an ability to add more fonts, and working with the layers is not incredibly easy to naviagate until you've used it a ton and figure out those kinks. But for this price and lifetime access..... it's a BOSS. We're super stoked on Pixilied. Highly recommend!!
