SheerSEO

Following the purchase of tier 3 in March 2023, I encountered account-related issues that were promptly resolved by the account owner. We had a nice chat, and I had a good feeling about my investment.

I had worked on other projects and a lot of time had passed until I finally had the opportunity to start working with it on customer projects. During this time, I encountered several bugs and compiled a comprehensive list of areas for improvement.

On May 3rd, 2025, I reached out to sales@sheerseo.com, the sole address I had previously used for communication, but unfortunately, I did not receive a response.
Three weeks later, I also found the support form on the SheerSEO website and sent a message, but I did not receive a reply.
On June 6th, I felt experimental and sent my previous message to support@sheerseo.com to see if it exists. I haven't received any mailer daemon errors, but no response either.

To summarize my experience with SheerSEO:
+ The basic functionality like keyword tracking is good.
+ The keyword tracking limits are generous.
- Most of the advanced features are only available for subscribers. Even if you invest in the highest tier, you'll still have no access to those advanced features.
- The UX is cumbersome, the UI feels outdated, and some basic features have bugs that should've been fixed 15 years ago in a 17-year-old software.
- No new features or UX/UI updates in 2 years. At least I can't spot them. The roadmap is unchanged, with the same open requests and no “in progress” tickets for years.

Despite these imperfections, I still considered an upgrade to a higher tier for basic keyword tracking. However, the lack of support was the nail in the coffin for me.

It appears that SheerSEO has abandoned its commitment to its customers. Consequently, I wouldn't invest in this company again.
