This [whatever this is] should not be called a "software" as it fails the basic priciples of software design. I.e. "Reliability" - a software must be reliable. This is the most un-reliable thing I have ever tried. Same setup runs occassionally and most of the time gives 0 results from scraping. Sometimes emitting 4 lines for a 30 list scrape. Never seen anything this unreliable. Tried js and the result may have the data, it fails to store it to proper columns on th google sheets! Instead of a "software" this must be called a "frustration hyper" - which is apt for it's unreliable design.
Now the funny guy who foiunded this may comment back saying this is definitely not a 1 star product, let me save him some time - you are 100% correct. But appsumo don't have 0 or -ve tacos which I will be gladly rating it if it is allowed. It was so boasted that somone doesn't know how to code created this, and it has all the breadcrumbs of bugs lurking over deeply to create enough frustration to the buyer with weird clownish unreliable results. Check the other 2 and 1 star reviews, they are perfect to describe this product. (I deny to call it a software as it also violates idempotency i.e when the input is unchanged, the software must produce same result for same input. But when you run this "joke" service or whatever, it gives unpredictable, unusable, unreliable results. Instead of releasing this to users, they shoulve applied for guniesse record for such an unpredictable result machine as it takes a genius to create something that gives wide variety of results for the same input. 165 +ve reviews? How? May be its all by thier own marketing teams.
Update to founders response:
For the future creators, a good software is one which never requires any assistance or help. For such a software the desgin will be intuitive and follows "never make me think" principle for design which will flow naturally with majority users. On majority of the reviews or questions, if someone is begging the customer to contact thier support, that speaks volumes about thier design and product. Cutomers don't buy products here to waste thier valuable time running around customer services reporting bugs and fixing bugs for your bug ridden unworthy to be released product. They buy it to use it. And something this unreliable and unusable made it to Appsumo is frustrating. May be it's time for AppSumo to safeguard it's reputation by having thier own QA team to filter such rubbish products in the future.
When I bought Tier 4 of TaskMagic, I wasn’t just looking for a tool—I was betting on a vision. And it paid off.
It took me a few weeks to fully understand the tool, but every minute invested was worth it. The learning curve wasn’t a wall—it was a path, made easier by one of the most active and helpful communities I’ve ever seen in the SaaS space. I’ve never felt alone in the process.
The team behind TaskMagic? They're not just building software—they're building something with heart. Every question I’ve had was answered. Every doubt, clarified. They don’t act like people chasing money—they’re clearly people chasing impact.
And now they’ve introduced AI agents. While I haven’t tested them yet, it’s clear this team never settles. They keep pushing, evolving, and growing—and taking us with them.
Today, TaskMagic handles 60% of the repetitive work in my business. That means more time for me, more time for strategy, and more time to explore new growth opportunities I never thought I’d have time for.
If you’re on the fence, get off it. This is more than a tool—it’s a multiplier.
I have Tier 5 for TaskMagic, and I’m absolutely blown away! This service is by far the easiest and most intuitive automation tool I’ve used, much simpler than other RPA tools like U-xer, ZeroWork, and Robomotion. While those tools are great in their own right, TaskMagic takes automation to a whole new level.
What makes it stand out is how seamlessly it combines browser-based automation with app integrations, effectively doubling its power. Now, with the addition of AI Agents, it’s even more powerful. The possibilities are endless!
The community is also a huge bonus. They use Skool to keep everyone engaged, and the founders are incredibly active and helpful. Any question you have gets answered right away, which makes the onboarding process so much smoother.
If you miss this, I promise you will regret it for the rest of your life! TaskMagic is worth every penny and will save you countless hours of work. Highly recommended!
Now let me get back to sipping tropical drinks on the beach while TaskMagic does all of my work for me!!!
I so wanted Task Magic to work, as it would have provided me with the opportunity to extract data from a local car sharing site to help me set prices for my own fleet of vans.
When it worked, it did exactly that, but the problem was it only worked 60% of the time. The other times, I'd end with missing rows of data for some information, which meant manual workarounds.
I engaged with the team on the issue several times and received committments to fix the issues, but each time it ended up with me following up and eventually the trail went cold.
Lots of potential but inconsistency let it down and I gave up using it.
I have been doing make & pabbly automation since many years now and seeing taskmagic browser automation working immediately triggered my creativity. There is so many things to achieve using this tool. Although i am newbie here and still learning, but i am impressed with the person behind this product. Thank you!
At first I was hesitant and didn't understand how to exploit it, now studying it I regretted taking tier1. Fantastic potential. I'm glad I took this opportunity thanks TaskMagic.
The software is buggy and difficult to use. It would be helpful if they had more sample automations and real-world examples and templates.
Updated: Okay, so the company now insulted me based on a review. So there's that.
After tiring of Zapier, I switched to Make and was much happier.
...until I purchased TaskMagic here on AppSumo.
It's even easier than Make; much easier.
In fact, it's simple.
TaskMagic makes automating tasks a breeze!
5 tacos all the way!
TaskMagic is an absolute game-changer when it comes to automating web-based tasks! I've tested numerous automation tools over the years, but TaskMagic stands out with its intuitive interface and AI-powered functionality. The ability to capture a process once and replicate it effortlessly saved me countless hours of manual work.
Here's what I absolutely loved about TaskMagic:
Ease of Use: The platform is incredibly user-friendly, even for those with minimal tech experience. Capturing and automating processes feels seamless.
AI-Powered Efficiency: The AI handles complex workflows like a pro, minimizing errors and maximizing accuracy.
Customization Options: The flexibility to tweak automation workflows ensures that it meets specific business needs, whether it's for data entry, lead generation, or repetitive browser tasks.
Time-Saving Superpowers: What used to take hours can now be done in mere minutes—it's like having an extra pair of hands at work.
Stellar Support: The TaskMagic team has been highly responsive and helpful in addressing any questions I had during setup.
If I had to nitpick, I’d say there’s a slight learning curve for ultra-complex tasks, but the payoff is massive once you get the hang of it.
Overall, TaskMagic has completely transformed how I manage repetitive tasks, giving me more time to focus on strategic goals. If you’re tired of manual processes slowing you down, TaskMagic is the tool you need in your arsenal. Highly recommend it to business owners, freelancers, and anyone looking to optimize their workflow!

Here is the use case I have had and how TaskMagic worked for within the scope of the use case.
Scrape the first result of a Google page with information from a Google sheet.
They go over how to scrape using google sheets here: https://help.taskmagic.com/help-center/s5FiF82Lv6xeJADe7k8pss/getting-started-with-automation-logic-how-to-think/jGisaZbaupaAvpoX1BuS9q
The actual implementation was hit or miss- on some runs it would refuse to read from Google Sheets. On others it would be able to read from Google sheets. This quickly got annoying because the whole point of this type of automation product is that I can leave it to work it's magic.
There are a few ease of use issues as well. For example, I want TM to search only for @var1 @var2 site:instagram.com . When I record the in the browser recorder, I have to manually type out Goldfish electronica site:instagram.com, then go and change the variables afterwards to be @var1 and @var2. I have to always remember to send out to google sheets and create a new google sheet for variables to write to (otherwise it appends to end of the first column)
For now, I am using ZeroWork, which has been much more reliable than TaskMagic. I hope that TM will be able to work eventually, but for now, it's been pretty disappointing.
This review is not to criticize TM, just to give other buyer's/potential buyers a real understanding of the product when making a purchasing decision.
I am a software developer so take my perspective with a grain of salt.
I do most things through code but TM has been great for clicking buttons on websites and grabbing data in a repeated way
One quick example is how I made an interest rate watcher to watch mortgage rates on big bank websites. I once went from 1.67% to 5% during the last few years of interest rate hikes so i'm never making that mistake again and TM has been helpful to achieve that
I use N8n to integrate things since I have unlimited usage with my self hosted version
the product is not ready yet. even the simplest of steps and functions like filters and google sheets integrations have their own free will and will not behave the way you want them to as per your workflow.
if you wish to troubleshoot bugs/issues, the support is practically non-existent. the "best" way to get help on every small and big issue is to make a post in their skool community and hope that someone replies in a few days in a way that doesn't solve your problem completely. When you ask an obvious followup, you'll need to wait for few more days.
The tool and its UI are not at all intuitive. most competing products are much easier on the eye and the brain. to make it worse, they recorded an entire training in the old version and then changed the UI, rendering the training videos meaningless. They have probably pivoted to building their other more recent software instead of focusing on making taskmagic usable.
Then the issue of the pricing. Where most softwares on appsumo charge 3-4 months of their actual pricing, these guys charge 20 months of their website pricing in advance for such a buggy product!
Even their cloud hours is priced exorbitantly. they use activepieces in their backend for their workflows which offered 200,000 tasks per month for $239. but taskmagic offers just 18,000 activepieces tasks per month (6 cloud hours) on Tier 4 for $999!
Not worth it.
