In the beginning, Vista Social was a struggling startup on the verge of collapse. Their business was nearly bankrupt, and it was the AppSumo community that stepped in and saved them. We believed in their vision, we invested in them, and many of us paid over $300 per lifetime subscription to support their growth and survival.
Thanks to the AppSumo users, Vista Social got the financial boost they needed to stay alive. We gave them a second chance when they were almost gone. But now that they’ve grown into a bigger company, they have completely betrayed the very community that helped them rise.
They have restricted AppSumo users to just 1GB of video uploads per day, removed access to new features, and violated the original terms of the lifetime deal. Everything that was promised to lifetime customers has been quietly taken away.
This is unacceptable and a complete breach of trust. Vista Social has not only gone back on their word — they’ve disrespected the loyal users who supported them when no one else did.
AppSumo should take this seriously and stand up for the community that made their platform strong. We trusted AppSumo to bring us honest, reliable SaaS partners — not companies that would turn their backs on us once they became successful.
Vista Social’s actions are a betrayal, plain and simple. They’ve shown no integrity or respect for the people who believed in them from the start. It’s deeply disappointing and unfair to everyone who helped them survive.
update !!!!!!!!:
After I posted an honest feedback comment about Vista Social here on AppSumo — simply sharing my personal experience — my lifetime subscription was suddenly canceled without any warning or explanation.
This is unacceptable and feels like retaliation for speaking the truth. We, as AppSumo customers, have the right to share our honest opinions about the products we purchase. No company should be able to silence users by removing access to something we paid for.
I trusted AppSumo and believed in the fairness of this platform, but what’s happening now is deeply concerning. I truly hope AppSumo will investigate this and protect the community that helped build it.
Please be aware and back up your accounts or data if you’re a Vista Social user. This kind of behavior should not be tolerated.
