Linguix reviews

I've been using Linguix for a few days with Grammerly to compare. The suggestions are usually the same.

The only issue I'm having with Linguix is with contractions. It doesn't seem to like them. However, there is no suggestion to make a change. The suggestion is the exact word I already wrote. Here are some examples from today:

Why wouldn’t we
There’s already
that’s piling up
When we don’t
we aren’t being controlled
it’s our own

Is there a setting I missed to make this stop? My copy needs to be warm and casual.

I had mixed feelings about this tool. I tried it over a couple of years ago and got a refund. I have been using Pro Writing Aid which is much more expensive for a lifetime deal! Linguix is working well overall; the suggested replacements for paragraphs are quite impressive; I am not noticing any slowdowns. I hope they fix any bugs mentioned and that the product keeps working. At $59, it was worth it.

Linguix is such a cool app.

I don't need to pay for Grammarly anymore. The "humanize" feature is awesome, and the tone changer works fast and well. Totally worth every penny.

Alex, the founder, is a very skilled guy. He just made this app, after all. App is MULTILINGUAL (YAY!) and very helpful. And the best part for me — It works with the Bulgarian language like a charm! If you write, you must have it. So just get it. And... be happy!

The obvious comparisons are going to be with Grammarly, and having used that for a few years and not wanting to keep paying the, IMHO, overpriced subscription, I thought I would give this a go. Overall, it does the job, but it is nowhere near as easy to use or as accurate as G. I am hoping that it will improve over time, but even if it doesnt, its usable and would still have it over nothing at all.

When it is working it seems to work well. The problem I am having is that the Chrome extension is wildly inconsistant. One day it'll work on a given website and then the next day it doesn't work. Not sure what the issue is but if I can't get it to work every time, then there is no point in keeping it. Will give it a few more weeks.

It's easy to use as it works away in the background and corrects grammar and spelling as you write. I love it and recommend it to everyone, hence 5 Tacos!

I've been using this app daily, and I must say it does exactly what it promises. It's a genuinely helpful tool that has impressed me, especially with its ability to handle the Greek language quite well, which is no small feat.

However, there are two areas that could use some improvement:

1. Android Keyboard Issue: The keyboard integration on Android is not very efficient. When I type something and use backspace, it often joins the current word with the previous one, causing a lot of frustration. Trying to fix it leads to the removal of all spaces between words, making typing cumbersome and time-consuming. If this issue can be resolved, it would greatly enhance the user experience on mobile devices. Unfortunately I stopped using it.

2. Google Docs Integration: While the app works well with documents like Google Docs, the sidebar appears misaligned. The pop-up for making changes doesn’t show up at the correct spot in my document, making it a bit awkward to use. Fixing this alignment issue would make working on documents much smoother.

Aside from these two points, the tool is fantastic and delivers on its promises. I really enjoy using it and am looking forward to future updates!
