Sent an email campaign overnight, woke up to an account that can't navigate anywhere outside the Accounts page. No explanation whatsoever for locking the account and three attempts to contact support all went unanswered.
We set up 20 email campaigns for Black Friday/Cyber Monday. Only 4 actually went out.
Today I received an email that my account will be placed on "optimization" and they will only send emails to new subscribers that have option emails within the last 30days. Not helpful, wasted time and energy plus lots of lost income potential.
It's on their webpage, it wasn't there when I first sub to this plan.
Making it very odd to add such "option" that's not "optionnal".
So I can get a lot of people to sign in manually via a form, but they also have to confirm their sub via email. And we have to pay 10$ month to get rid of it ?
Also, "custom HTML" is not true. You cannot add custom styles, or div tags, you can only use the very old fashionned HTML Tags such as "b", "i", "u" but you cannot use stuff that is really helpful to build a solid brand.
This plan is a scam.
If you are looking for something to send emails similar to other services like MailChimp or the like, it is good. You can buy upgrades for some tools but the basic package does what it says.
Overall, this interface is just hard to use and not very specialized. You can't edit contact names or numbers quickly, there are no options that I saw for selecting fields when importing CSV files and therefore every import was riddled with contact naming errors.
Overall, I'm having a simpler time with a spreadsheet and different contact manager.
I tried sending a broadcast to 50 of my buyers, none of them opened so I will not recommend it to anyone
I have tried other email list providers, such as Aweber and Mailchimp and honestly didn't find them easy to understand. I tried to learn how they worked, but didn't get very far, so gave up.
Comes in SendFox. I was sceptical as the first few attempts failed with other providers, so I had to take a deep breath before giving it another go.
What do I find, a very easy and user friendly interface that is super easy to navigate and quite intuitive. Then with an upgrade later I meet the AI chat bot that can answer all my questions and even help me find a work around for things that aren't a feature.
Amazing!
I totally love using SendFox. I do newsletters, simple email courses and al sorts of fun stuff with SendFox.
Definitely 5 tacos.
I love it so much that I have gifted it to a colleague of mine recently.
I highly recommend using it.
They have good options in the system "BUT THEY DON'T WORK."
1. we can next delivery gap but "it's not working", By default it keeps 1 day only.
2. If we add a new email in automation, it doesn't add the previous one.
It's good for simple use. Support is not that good.
I raised this issues to support. But of no use?
I get it, there is a checkbox that you check when you first sign up that says you will not send affiliate offers via sendfox.
Be warned, they are Draconian about this and will not hesitate to delete the work you have done over the years.
Look elsewhere for better service.
WOULD A WARNING HAVE BEEN TOO MUCH EFFORT? I guess so. DO NOT MAKE A MISTAKE
I've been seduced by the ability to send unlimited emails since I planned to hold a daily newsletter. But there are a few critical points that preclude me to use this solution in the end :
- Double opt-in is mandatory or you have to pay a monthly extra fee to turn off double optin. This sounds like an unacceptable form of user hostage-taking when you build your advantage on lifetime deals.
- The solution poorly integrates with Wordpress and Divi despite the likepress plugin. It makes some critical errors and decrease website stability.
I am very deceived, since the offer seemed really attractive.
Great value when it works but omg I just tried to send my first big email (after months and months of sending welcome emails with great response rates) and low and behold Sendfox goes into some kind of 'warm up' mode where they don't. send. the. email. for. an. indefinite. period. of. time. What the heck! :(
I've reached out to support and received a generic response about how they're trying to protect my reputation by only sending my emails to a small amount of people at a time. Sounds great in theory but hey guess what? I have a time-sensitive email that I actually just want to send.
Here are some issues I see with Sendfox's approach:
1. There was no warning this would happen, not even a 'hey if you're sending out an email to this many people it may take X time, are you cool with that?'
2. There is literally no time frame this will be resolved.
3. There is no undo, so even if I wanted to try sending out the email only to 'active' contacts etc. it's too late! I have no idea who has received the test email, and now I can't even go with another service because I don't want to send people the same email twice!
4. Support has been really slow. It's been over 2 days now and my email is still in 'warm up' mode or whatever. In the last 24 hours I have received no word from support but I have receieved wait for it - 2 promotional emails from Appsumo! - So wait... Appsumo is allowed to send promotional emails to me, but I'm not allowed to use their tool to send emails? C'mon guys!
If they changed the name to SendSnail I feel like I would at least have been better prepared :(
