I think this is really good checkout software for people that want to sell digital products. As others have mentioned, the interface is intuitive and straightforward. Getting setup was easy and I really like the after-purchase options. I got tier 3 but I'm thinking of upgrading.
Just discovered Zylvie and I'm floored! If you're looking for a ThriveCart or SamCart alternative, this is it.
The deal is incredible. What immediately stands out is that the developers must have a passion for their product, this has a ridiculously good UI that somehow manages to be both simple to navigate AND packed with powerful features.
You can tell Zylvie is the result of genuine devotion and commitment from those who actually understand what online sellers need. The checkout pages are flawlessly designed with every element strategically placed to maximize conversions. I'm a student of marketing and they got so many things right. I've been looking into SamCart recently and I'm so glad I waited and found this. This is a steal!
All the essential features are there:
-One-click order bumps
-Seamless upsells
-Multiple payment options
-Conversion-optimized templates
Zylvie is a game-changer for digital creators seeking a customizable, user-friendly, and swift cart solution. Setting up my store was a breeze, thanks to its intuitive interface. The platform’s seamless integrations with tools like Stripe and ConvertKit have streamlined my workflow, and their support team has been consistently positive and helpful.
However, I’ve encountered a peculiar behavior with Stripe, my primary payment gateway. When users proceed to the checkout page, Zylvie creates an ‘incomplete’ transaction in Stripe before any payment is processed. This anomaly has led to confusion among my clients, cluttering the Stripe transaction console and raising concerns about unintended charges. While these ‘incomplete’ transactions can be filtered out, they still pose an inconvenience. In one instance, I had to generate manual payment links to mitigate the confusion.
Despite this hiccup, I remain optimistic about Zylvie’s potential. The cart software industry is challenging, and I’ve previously invested in platforms that were later abandoned by developers. Zylvie’s commitment to continuous improvement gives me hope that this issue will be addressed promptly.
GO ZYLVIE!
First of all, this is a low-converting checkout software.
Conversion at the checkout is around 7%. This means when 100 people click the Buy button, only 7 actually buy. This is very low.
Recently they added the cart abandonment recovery but it appeared that suddenly you need to buy more codes to use it - it's ridiculous and not fair when you buy an LTD.
The sales page / offer builder could win a contest for the most ugly pages ever.
Affiliates are not being paid automatically - you need to pay them manually, which creates confusion on both sides and adds the additional thing to take care of, as in the case scenario the sales come in, you need to monitor the process.
A good thing is that you can attach a coupon code to an affiliate, which allows you to sell using your external sales pages, because without that feature affiliates would have to use their affiliate links pointing to the ugliest offer pages ever.
Another good things are well-working delivery emails, and the support, but still "high-converting" checkout software is an overstatement.
Another downside is that if you want to partner up with another seller, the platform charges fees that makes the platform useless in this case.
I really wish I could give more tacos but the unfair move with the additional fee for the cart abandonment, when the checkout converts really bad, left me no other choice.
EDIT: Yes - Jay is always happy to help and the support level outranks at least 90% of all support teams.
A great alternative to other e-commerce solutions, the support is professional. The payment connectors work perfectly. The interface is user-friendly. All that's missing is an AI connection for writing and SEO optimization.
This is one of my best appsumo purchases. I love not having to worry about setting up a shop on my website. Zylvie is also super customizable if you know some CSS. It has all the features I need and integrates easily with other software. Definitely recommend!
I've used this for several months with 3 codes and I'm very happy with my experience. The UI/UX is clean and intuitive, so there was very little learning curve which is helpful. I especially like the multitude of options for delivery of digital goods after purchase. This combined with the gift and pre-auth options made going full stack a no brainer for me, so I got the 2 extra codes.
Thanks Zylvie team! Keep up the great work and support on this awesome software!
Zylvie is a great ecommerce platform solution for anyone with an online business. A couple of my favorite things about it in no particular order are:
✅ webhook actions available post purchase with data I can use to optimize my meta ads via a make scenario
✅ flash sales that are based on a user's interaction with the product page, allowing me to set up a great tripwire sequence (in other words: new subscribers to my list have a set amount of time to buy something at a reduced price after they visit the product page 1x. Then, it automatically goes back to full price).
✅ easy interface to set up new products and their details.
✅ Payment options including one time purchases and subscriptions- and you can "limit" the amount of subscriptions thus essentially solving the problem of multiple payments (so if you offer something for $500 and want to offer a payment plan over 3 payments it's easy peasy).
✅ Can limit amount of a product sold
✅ Can embed html into product description
✅ dedicated space for customer testimonials/reviews...
✅ customizable post-purchase fullfillment options (i.e. send custom email with file for one product, redirirect to a url for another product)
✅ useful dashboard statistics and overview (i'm so sick of dashboards that have things just to have things.
✅ can choose to show testimonials in checkout page
✅ you can add custom code to header, body, and success pages for tracking etc.
Oh and you can embed your check out links directly into your own websites... you can also send people to a checkout page and choose whether they'll see options to go back to your 'store' page or whether they will stay focused on just that product.
There are a couple more features I'm excited to use in the future but haven't dug into yet... mainly the affiliate portal and api to create products.
There is limited customization as far as certain visual design elements go... but the functionality of everything is so good, it doesn't bother me, and I actually appreciate some parameters, and again- it does a good job of making sales compelling and trustworthy.
So yeah, Zylvies cool, it hits all the marks.
I also like Jay. He's effectively communicated his product decisions and I trust he is making good choices about what to prioritize & implement. And he's helpful.
I'm impressed with all the features. Great value. I especially like the ability to embed the cart on any site. I wanted a close button on the embed popup and contacted Zylvie. Within a day they added it! I appreciated their quick response. Looking forward to evolving with Zylvie.
This software is so completely amazing. After years of using different cart systems, some attached to my course platforms, and being limited to only PayPal's buy now pay later system, I am so pleased to come across this software.
I have bought a number of wonderful software with Appsumo and this is one of the most valuable ones. The team is ccompletely responsive too.
After testing out the system, I found that I wasn't able to put a limit on the monthly payments to set up payment plans. In less than 24 hours they added that feature allowing me to add customers who wanted to spread their payments out.
Of course that feature is not a priority given that there are BNPL features such as Affirm, Afterpay, Klarna, etc. which allows clients to break up big ticket items over many months. This latter was the reason I became interested in the first place, but I got the icing on the cake with some of the other features.
It's hard to believe that they've been around for less than a year and yet they've added so many features that one of my longstanding, decades-long cart systems would overlook each time I sent an email to request it. I can now cancel that expense due to this software.
I wanted to give this product a full 5 tacos, but after thoroughly exploring 99% of the Tier 3 features, I found a few limitations and shortcomings. My primary goal for purchasing this LTD was to sell digital products and subscriptions, and it shows promise in those areas. It’s also a great addition to my portfolio of cart platforms like WooCommerce, ThriveCart, and SamCart. I truly hope the team delivers on their roadmap and remains around for the long haul.
PROS ("The Good")
*Digital Products & License Keys: The standout feature for me is the ability to sell digital products and generate license keys for activation. While manual activation may be required on my end, I'd appreciate clarity on tracking and managing license keys—especially for refunds and deactivations.
*Customizable Landing Pages & Checkout Features: Offers a variety of options for customization, including the ability to add images, videos, and custom code.
*CNAME/Custom Domain Setup: Straightforward setup with clear instructions.
*Coupon Functionality: Ability to create fixed or percentage-based discounts is a nice touch.
CONS ("The Bad & The Ugly")
*White Label Limitations: The CNAME feature falls short when Zylvie branding is still visible in headers and footers. Charging extra to remove branding, especially for top-tier LTD buyers, is a poor practice.
*Outdated Design: The landing page design options feel stuck in the 90s, with limited flexibility.
*Brand Management Restrictions: There’s no option to delete and replace brands while preserving the inventory limit.
*Domain Linking Issues: After setting up a custom domain, the "view my store" link in the admin dashboard still points to the Zylvie site, leading to an error page.
*Cart Abandonment Disclosure: This valuable feature is locked behind Tier 5, which isn’t made clear in the AppSumo listing.
*Affiliate/Referral Limitations: Affiliate links can only be created manually via email invitations. The absence of a self-service affiliate registration (like Partnero) is a missed opportunity. Please refer to these screenshots: Refer to these screenshots: https://prnt.sc/yV4P7Wfbiii9, https://prnt.sc/KP_seoF5uvnq
*Coupon Date Errors: Coupons with specific start and end dates arbitrarily change when revisited for editing.
*In the cart, when customer selects the bump offer, the cart total does not add up correctly. There's also no option to "continue shopping" or go back to the home page if customer wants to select more products.
*Sales Volume Uncertainty: It's unclear what happens after reaching the stated $1 million sales cap for Tier 3 users.
Final Thoughts
This platform is a strong and cost-effective alternative to other cart platforms, but there’s room for significant improvement. Addressing the issues outlined above could make this a 5-taco contender.
I spent a long time thinking about whether to buy this deal, and honestly, I regret not doing it sooner. It’s simply an incredible solution for your store—you can sell your first product in minutes. But the most amazing part is how extremely committed Jay is to be listening to the community to make Zylvie truly valuable for their businesses. I was pleasantly surprised that just one message saying, “Hey, what if this worked this way?” resulted in something implemented based on the suggestion in less than two days. I was speechless, and I’ll continue to eagerly await the entire roadmap ahead. Goodbye WC, I finally found what I had been looking for so long, and it’s only going to get better.
