Your team’s own work social media platform

I have managed a few projects with Morning Mate now and it has been an effective solution. I am an agency owner/web developer.

It takes a little getting used to, and having a feed didn't seem intuitive to me right away but it actually works really well with running a project with a team.

I'd like to see a bit cleaner interface in the chats so that to open a long chat message shouldn't open up a separate window, but that is certainly no deal-breaker.

I'd also like a Kanban board feature so I can track my sales pipeline without having to swap apps at some point but it is a great solution as is. Runs pretty speedy, chats go through quickly, everything works well.

Had high hopes when I bought this, but so far, after a few days using it, and placing 6 individuals on it, all 6 complained about how clunky and "frustrating" it is to use. Especially the Files. Still cannot figure out why anyone would make a FILES button where you cannot actually, ya know, UPLOAD FILES? Haha - Basically 100% of my team I've put on this has asked me to please find something more intuitive. I don't think it's the worst thing out there, but it certainly has a long way to go to be considered user friendly. A lot of the interface I just cannot imagine what they were thinking. On most project managers, 90% of the options/features are right where you'd expect them to be. Not the case here. Maybe it gets better with time as you use it and grow familiar with it? But at this point and time, compared to my first time using other project managers, this is the first time I've had to read notes from 100% of my team mates asking if we can switch to something else. So that's a red flag for me.

I have been in tech and marketing for 30 years. I am fairly certain we have tried every PM system in existence. I used Teamwork for about 8 or so years. All of these dang systems have limitations that they impose so you'll buy their next level.
Morningmate is different in soooo many ways. UNLIMITED projects and up to 50 employees (at the top tier) and unlimited collaborations...just mind-blowing.
I saw a review on here that is not 5 tacos...and I understand the points they were making. However...when you are used to spending a LOT more money on systems that do NOT offer the same as Morningmate...this system is a breath of fresh air!
OH...and their customer service... 2nd to none. They are ON IT! They make changes quickly and I know they are working on improving this system, nonstop.
I also know that it's not gonna be on AppSumo for much longer. You might want to stop thinking about this and do it NOW before this opportunity is gone.
I am soooo glad I found this software. It has truly changed our business and helped us really get organized.

As the different tiers are the same, besides the number of users, this review must be representative as it is based on trying out tier 1.

Good
- UI is nice and intuitive
- Very little lag in creating tasks, etc.
- Structure

To be improved
- The option for browser notifications keeps coming back despite numerous opting out.
- Note field under Tasks non-existing - it can be made in the feed in the task, but here, the specific notes drown in all other change notifications.
- The order of Tasks in widgets on the Dashboard is random and thus does not help effectivity
- Changes in tasks are not updated in overviews - can be forced through refreshing though
- No Whitelabel
- No CNAME

Conclusion
Morningmate is promising but is missing some essential features;
- No note-field in tasks: makes it cumbersome
- No Whitelabel is not appropriate for a team-tool
- No Whitelabel and CNAME make Morningmate unusable towards clients (because of debranding).
These issues are basic features in the main part of other collaboration tools. Fix these issues and you will have a winner (and 5 tacos).

Had my morning meeting with them for onboarding and a product walkthrough. Raphäel was great to talk to and the 15 minutes it took to go through the product would have taken hours to do on our own. Highly recommend the product for project management and their customer service. I usually don't leave reviews this quickly before fully using a product, but the fact that i was able to have access to a fully finished product with native phone apps / no bugs so far blows my mind.

I look forward to using morningmate and think that it's going to change our PM for our non-tech clients.

It's rare for us to come across established companies bringing insane deals to AppSumo.

What I like in morningmate:

- Native desktop apps - uncommon in non-established companies.
- Native smartphone apps - uncommon in non-established companies.
- Simple notification settings: say goodbye to overwhelming notification panel that doesn't work.
- Clean Social-media type feed.
- Clean project and task manager with different views and comments.
- Built-in chat.
- Integrations: Zoom, Google Calendar, Gmail, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Zapier.
- Unlimited storage to keep files organized in one place (file preview works).
- Widgets to customize your dashboard.

Madras Check/flow.team/morningmate seems a well-established and well-funded company has been around for nearly a decade. Madras Check is the creator of the Project Management tool flow.team , which is popular on the South Korean market, serving famous South Korean brands like Samsung and Hyundai. In fact, flow.team Android app has got 100K+ downloads from Play Store.

I believe what Madras Check/flow.team/morningmate tries to do with AppSumo partnership is expanding globally, which includes English and Spanish speaking markets.

About us:

We tried various Project Management tools on AppSumo / off AppSumo. Especially phone apps are usually outdated, buggy or don't even have an app, because of lack of devs. Fortunately, this is not the case with morningmate.

To sum up, if you're tired of using bloated, overwhelming and very buggy project management tools from non-established companies, we'd recommend to get morningmate till it's too late.

I found Morningmate really helpful for our team projects. It's designed for something called Scrum, which is a way to tackle projects bit by bit. What I like most is how simple it is to use; my team got the hang of it quickly without any headaches.

The best part about Morningmate is that we can all jump in and work together, no matter where we are or what device we have. Whether I'm on my laptop or using my phone, I can stay in touch with my team and keep working on our project.

The Android app is nicely designed. It has separate iOS apps for iPhone and iPad. And A Windows App too.

Notifications are consistently designed and they work. I tried all use cases to understand the impact of mentioning individuals with tasks having different individuals assigned to them.

The predefined workflow concept works very well in the software development landscape.

Just a note that its a very powerful collaboration tool with limited capabilities for project management. For me it lacs the ability to add Sprints, story points, etc.- so it not JIRA but it has the basics to get going.

In short, Morningmate has been a solid tool for me and my team. With a few improvements and discussing with the Morningmate team, I think it could be the perfect choice for managing our whole project from beginning to end.

Another improvement area about storing file is only by posting via., a project. I hope the team enables direct uploading of files.

The great part about this application that all features mentioned works flawless, and this app., is very accurate at handling notification complicity very accurately.

I love the simplicity of this project management tool; the UI is nice, and the social media-style task feeds are very appealing. Additionally, the mobile app is excellent. I started with Tier 1 but am planning to upgrade to invite more teams over. I just hope they add recurring tasks in the near future for easier task management. I highly recommend it.
