Elevate Your Business with AI Website Builder
Despite their automated 90+ performance and the underlying Google cloud architecture. For me, this level of performance came at a huge sacrifice with regards to styling of my website. I thought this may improve with their 'Cloudflare Enterprise' (it isn't really) but not to the levels that I had previously obtained on a Shared hosting server with LiteSpeed. Their support is responsive, the interface of the platform is clean and great for clients but the performance issues let me down so I had to move my sites off their platform.
I'm also not particularly happy when companies don't honour the terms of their lifetime deals for their early adopters, but that seems to be happening a lot these days.
I have used it for 2 years, and they have cost me lots of time and nerves.
Their backup broke frequently, not that they discovered it but me. Support was always super slow, days to respond weeks to fix. (and it kept breaking).
I always asked for why it did happen and what I could do differently, the answer was always "it's fixed". (red flag)
It's fast, yes. Don't let that deceive you.
The performance for an annually paid hosting is unacceptable.
One Year Later, After Renewing, Things Got Worse, Not Better.
Out of 210+ codes purchased on Appsumo, I've only been gravely disappointed in a couple of them. If I hadn't had so many good experiences with Appsumo, this one would've been enough for me to condemn Appsumo. It really is that bad;
One is PublBox, which simply went offline completely "due to covid". But that pales in comparison to the nightmare that is 10web.
This one, I WISH they would go out of business because MAN, they are really screwing people. Not only did I lose a client because their SEO tanked after switching to 10web, which I was willing to look past. Then, reality started to dawn on me when I saw how broken all of their plugins were.
But yeah, Google Cloud Hosting right?! Must be fast and what a great price! Well, not really. You can get MANAGED Google Cloud hosting where you actually get control over the resources and where the support gets back to you. But hey, I dont mind slow support as long as they are useful. 10web's support is glacially slow and absolutely useless.
Not suprising, considering the platform they are supporting is completely broken. My sites would go down on an almost monthly basis with 5xx errors and they would claim it was due to plugins, even though I disabled the plugins trying to troubleshoot myself. Not to say they're lying, as they are completely clueless and middlemen between their equally useless devs.
Now for the platform itself, nothing works: Security + Speed Optimizer break the site in one form or another. The SEO plugin is useless unless you want to pay an insane amount for Ahrefs API package. The automatic backups tend to turn off when the plugin is updated, but it doesnt really matter because restoring the backups (or restore points for that matter) doesn't do anything at all.
I've wasted so much time trying to like 10web. I'm writing this review in the hopes of saving someone else the pain that I did. By the way, it's not even fast. Server response times are literally off the charts and not in a good way. See the before and afters of my server monitor below.

Short answer - definitely not!
I have had awful experiences with their customer service. They take days if not more then a week to get to your ticket. Very nice support team that responds quickly during the day, but they never know an answer and forward it off to the developers so if you have an issue expect it will be about a week until they get to it. Then they break things on your site, like every image on the site, and didn't check it even though my ticket was about their awful image optimization. Ticket resolved!
Restoring backups never worked for any of my sites. Restore points do work however, but it only saves up to the last 10, but I only have 5 recent restore points available. So if you need to go back 2 weeks you can't. Sweet.
They have not added 1 theme since a year ago. Although the themes page still says more themes coming soon! Good one.
I have not noticed 1 feature or update or upgrade added in the past year.
I give it 2/5 stars because of the potential it HAD and their price compared to WP Engine and others, and their uptime was pretty good with only a few downtimes throughout the year. But after a year of nothing that I've noticed new except customer service getting worse it's an easy pass to move my sites away and end this deal. They don't have the development support team to handle enquiries like Bluehost which fixes your issue while you're in live chat.
Complete waste of money and one of the very few deals I regret getting here. And I've gotten a few.
This is the worst AppSumo deal I've bought. To make matters worse I stacked it so it's one of the most expensive deals I've bought. Their managed hosting service is a joke. The 60 day refund window closed while I was running down the clock on my old (reliable) web host, so I'm going to have to swallow the loss. There isn't even live chat - but they'll email you to say there is live chat - no chat link provided of course. The only positive that has come from this experience is the realisation of just how good SiteGround are. Their 1st line live chat is way better than the glacial-paced 'support' from 10Web. I'd be surprised if 10Web doesn't try to come back to AppSumo for another payday in the future based on the profit margin they made this time around. If they come back my advice is to avoid and find/stick with an established reliable web host.
I've confirmed that the platform has erased some images from the design, and modified others.
Besides, I've installed and activated Essentials Addons for WP plugin, and now the 10web site has broken it.
This is gonna take me a lot of rework, basically having to rebuild the site.
I'm completely unsatisfied with the quality of the product, the customer service and the time to respond to the asks for help.
I bought 3 codes hoping the PDF reports would be coming soon for my clients. I was suing Manage WP and it worked flawlessly. I just wanted to save money each month if this deal would at the very least do the same things.
1. Backups aren't working. Maybe cause I'm on Siteground and I noticed someone saying they got errors as well.
2. The security feature showed I had issues on my site but nothing explains what it could be or how to fix it.
3. I had to delete the website and add it back again in order to get the security feature to show up and work. It was hanging on a screen not doing anything.
Will give it a few weeks before deciding to refund or not. Hope the reports come soon and they work out the kinks.
A lot of potencial of this platform.
Still lot of work too but I belive this id good investment for early adopters beacause it is one of kind on the market.
THE EXPECTATIONS
I liked the deal at the beginning and despite the fact that their supporters, were not fluent in English and enough helpful to technical questions and I was waiting for hours in live chat, I decided to move my websites.
THE REALITY
1) I cannot understand how is it possible to leave unanswered questions, even on Appsumo for days... Then I realized that they do not provide live chat (perhaps occasionally?) and they only way is to create a ticket that will be responded in 2-3 days with a semi-helpful answer. Then I have to wait another 2-3 days in order to get a better answer and so on..
2)Additionally, the speed of their server is not as fast as they claim and the staging environment is buggy
3) I have not used their plugins because I am a bit scary.. If something goes wrong I will be alone, since there is no real support.
4) They changed their ticketing system and my old tickets, disappeared.
Just like that..So, I had to create new tickets - no live support - tell the same problem, waiting for days and so on..
I will give a second chance until the refund period but my feeling is that I'm wasting my time and my money here..
I hope that this will change and they will behave as professional hosting company with real support! We will see!
Stacked it 10 times.
Despite some quirks here and there, I find incredible value in their hosting service. I honestly don't care much about the plugins or the connected websites, although it's is handy that I can connect and manage external websites.
The 10web hosting is powerful. It might not be the fastest base clock speed, but it surely makes up for it by having multiple CPUs, heaps of RAM and a way faster than average performance.
I've been testing and benchmarking different hosts. Coming from basic DigitalOcean, I've tested Vultr Compute and Vultr High Frequency Compute as well as Hetzner Cloud. 10Web knocks the socks off DO, eats Vultr Compute and Hetzner cloud for lunch, but in terms of raw single core performance, Vultr High Frequency Compute is obviously faster.
Without diving into detail, having more cores and more RAM beats having a higher base clock speed. It will show in the stability and ability to run Wordpress with e.g. WPML, WooCommerce and a page builder.
10Web saves me the trouble of having to worry about server provisioning, configuration and kernel updates. I can easily set up a staging environment and backups are included.
The pricing is super attractive with the AppSumo deal. Stacking 10 codes means I pay $690/yr for 19 hosted sites. When renewing, I only pay for the sites I use/need and still pay the discounted price of $36.32 per site per year. Only if I ever go above 19 sites will I have to pay $120 per additional site.
That's $10/mo per site.
To compare that, you would easily land at the same price with a single core 1GB RAM self managed instance if you add backup service, floating IP and a server management dashboard to the equation - not to mention having to manage it yourself. There's 2FA, SSH, SFTP and MySQL access and settings can be changed per host (wp-config and/or through support), so it's certainly flexible enough for my needs.
Not all is perfect though. Provisioning should be faster and perceived speed can be improved a lot. I'm also having some issues with a site that was migrated using the automatic migration service (could be my own fault), adding domains and/or issuing a certificates doesn't play well with Cloudflare in front and I've had an issue with the system auto adding domains to a site because of site settings.
Once the live chat started working, things have been much better and 10Web has proven to be very helpful and friendly. The support process isn't streamlined yet though and I look forward to be able to view my tickets somewhere :)
What are you waiting for? Buy now quick!
Unfortunately, the hosting plan only comes with DNS setting. This means that creating host records for your domain name will need be delegated to 10web nameservers. For me, that is big drawback. The other thing is that their live chat takes so long to respond. So when I requested to chat, I spend 15 minutes to get a response. If they are too busy handling live chats, they should not accept you in the queue until the person is free.
I'm not interested in the web hosting. This puts me at odds with most of the 5 taco reviews I've been reading.
I just need a central place to manage backups and updates - anything more is a bonus.
10web promises it can take care of backups and updates from a central dashboard. It doesn't deliver.
To backup sites each and every one has to be clicked into from the dashboard before you can click the backup button.
I've been waiting for over 24 hours for some backups to complete - backup is incremental so should speed up - but 24 hours!!?? Just as well I didn't set it to happen daily...
Backups can be automated so shouldn't prove a problem until I want to check if all my sites are backed up and then the clickathon begins again.
Updates work in the same way - no list of all the plugins needing updated - just manual checking of every site.
I'm assuming this will be fixed at some point but I can't see where this is stated.
This lack of consideration for what a user might experience is evident elsewhere eg clicking on the update link for a plugin from within the wordpress site takes doesn't update the plugin! It takes you to 10web and not even the update page. This adds confusion and clicks to something wordpress has sorted. Why 10web would choose to break a functioning system is beyond me.
I'm hoping 10web listen. I've submitted a ticket and I'll see if their help is of any use.
In the meantime I'm regretting moving sites over from malcare - malcare saves me time. 10web costs me.
