After trying multiple email marketing and automation platforms, Encharge has been a real game-changer. Not just because of its intuitive interface and visual workflows, but especially because of its ability to track user behavior on the website and turn that data into real sales opportunities.
One of the features I value most is the web tracking. Encharge lets you see exactly which pages each lead has visited, how much time they’ve spent on each one, and when they return to check out a specific offer. This information is marketing gold. Thanks to this system, I can now trigger personalized automations when someone visits, for example, a product page or a free resource. And best of all: I can reach out to that lead at the exact moment their interest is highest.
Integrating it with my site was incredibly easy: just a small script and within minutes, I was seeing how users were navigating my pages. From there, everything is visual and straightforward. You can build automated flows that respond to specific actions: if someone visits a sales page but doesn’t buy, they receive a tailored follow-up email. If they download a resource, they enter a different sequence. Everything adjusts to what the user actually does—not what you assume they’ll do.
What’s more, Encharge allows you to segment your audience with surgical precision. You can create conditions based on events, page views, clicks, tags… This makes your campaigns way more relevant and effective.
In short, Encharge is not just an email marketing tool. It’s a smart platform that turns website visits into real conversations. And today, that makes all the difference.
Highly recommended if you want to stop sending generic emails and start communicating with your leads right when they’re ready to hear from you.
I cannot understand how someone can rate Encharge with only one star and then, in the same review, write that it is "just" a better Mailchimp...
Because that is exactly the point: Encharge is indeed better than most established email marketing tools out there! I've used several tools before – MailerLite, Mailchimp, Brevo, etc. – all great tools, but I am blown away by the segmentation and automation capabilities of Encharge. You can build Segments based on custom fields AND tags, as well as other metrics combined (opens, clicks, and so on...) – you CANNOT do this in Mailchimp.
I do understand why some might be disappointed that this LTD is "only" mapped to the Growth Plan and doesn't include features from the Premium Plan – but even so, the features it does include are more powerful than those offered by most globally established email marketing tools.
Encharge is almost perfect - the only thing I just wish is that the filter system (under People) offered more options and that you could manually change things like custom fields after selecting multiple people (like you can do in Brevo). Currently, for changes involving multiple people, I always have to create a separate automation flow, which feels like a somewhat “time-consuming” workaround. Also, the look and feel could be optimized in some areas.
But honestly, that's just "nitpicking on a high level" – Encharge is truly brilliant!
After testing it with high hopes and good feelings without event targeting, API and premium integrations, Encharge loses its original power for advanced and connected automations becoming totally basic. Especially it lacks segmentation, I repeat, without this and unfortunately I'm going to return it.
- But still, it is better than most traditional email marketing tools (like Mailchimp) for its advanced segmentation and webhooks, especially in the LTD (one-time payment) offer... but again that's not the value proposal of Encharge and is not what I was looking for.
All the best for the team!
*answering:
''- and confident others will see the same once they dig in 🙌''
about this, I have to say something for which I get too tired of this platform, that's why I'm progressively leaving it like many others:
It's unfortunate that Sumolings we always been obligated have to do a deep research (check comment threads, compare, ask, talk to others on forums...) just to know what hides each offer here and what we actually receive. Recently, even with the new ‘'Plans & features’' section many developers hide upsellings, half offers or a value proposition contrary to the nature of the original product, and it's rarely clear.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is crazy tiring. I just really wish want to know what I get when I buy in a crystal clear way, let's avoid bad reviews, returns and wasted time. Thank you very much.
I upgraded to Tier 5 because I was told all previous features would be restored ASAP , yet none of them have been so far. If you have something running that depends on those features, be careful upgrading, it might stop working for several days.
I love Encharge, its a 5 o more tacos tool, but the wating time is 1. The sad part is I read another review where support responded in just minutes , that clearly wasn’t my experience.
Five tacos for this product. I have been using it since I purchased the LTD. However, team needs to come to their senses on included features. For example, current LTD holders are required to purchase $300 Woocommerce feature? This should be a standard in any email marketing platform. Why? There are a million and one ways to connect woocommerce without the feature! Transactional emails? This is a given as well. To add insult to injury..... I can't stack!!!
I've been using the product since 2021, and it currently has 15,000 subscribers. Now it looks like there is no possibility to add more subscribers into it. The answer from the Encharge support team I got is this one "You can not stack;"
Great SaaS and I use it every day.
Needs some polish but generally good.
What I would like is a path for people who bought in 2021 to get transactional emails. We backed the company then, reward us for backing you AGAIN.
Simply an amazing tool. Just upgraded from an old Tier 5 to the new Tier 6 limits. Very friendly and helpful support. Just took a few minutes to answer all my questions and complete the upgrade incl. bringing the old features from the 2021 deal back. Love that it fully integrates with boost.space / make.com. :D
As someone deep in the automation game, I can confidently say: Encharge plays in a different league. This isn’t just another email platform -- it’s a behavior-first engine
Ask anyone who’s actually been using it, and they’ll tell you, it’s an entirely different experience.
You don’t just send emails -- you react in real-time to what your audience does. It’s like having a conversation, not a campaign.
- website activity tracking/insights? Built in.
- trigger flows based on specific website clicks? Too easy.
- clean your email list automatically? Yep.
- visual flow builder? A dream.
If you’re used to complex or rigid ESPs, Encharge feels like switching from static IF/THEN chains to true responsive logic. My only hope is that it continues evolving in an agentic direction -- giving users even more autonomy and intelligence in execution. And hopefully, we’ll be part of that journey too.
Encharge is the real deal. (my secret weapon since 2021 🤫 )
I was loving the tool. Simple to use, adequate automation flows, not too many functions, but enough, correct import tool,...
Until I went to mark an email as transactional and I realized that in my plan is not included (my fault for not checking well, but I consider it something so basic ....) and they ask me the monthly equivalent of a plan of 20,000 (buy tier 3), instead of the 4200 contacts I have active,... A disproportionate.
It hurt me, I loved it, I thought I had found the definitive tool, but I asked for a refund and I will continue using Drip.
If you are encouraged to add them, even if it is in Tier 6, I hope they give a chance to those of us who returned just for this reason.
The Encharge team delivers exemplary support, which is particularly beneficial during our exploration of Encharge's functionalities. Please continue the outstanding work!

Hey Daniel @ Encharge,
Thank you for your detailed response. While I appreciate the transparency, I’d like to address a few points and offer some constructive feedback to help rebuild trust and confidence among potential and existing customers.
1. Public Deadlines vs. Rapid Execution
You mentioned Basecamp/37Signals as an example of avoiding public deadlines, but this comparison feels misplaced. Basecamp is a long-established company with a mature product and market position. A more relevant parallel is Evernote under Bending Spoon.
After its acquisition, Evernote’s new owners didn’t shy away from accountability—they shipped features weekly, improved reliability, and won back lost users. This wasn’t a "rat race" but a demonstration of hustle and strategic execution. Customers don’t need rigid deadlines, but they do need visible progress—proof that the team is committed and capable of delivering.
Question: How will Encharge demonstrate this level of commitment?
---
2. Team Transparency
You emphasized being a small, growing team, but specifics matter.
Question:
- How many developers, customer support, and other team members are dedicated to Encharge now?
- What’s the ratio of engineering to customer-facing roles?
Transparency here would reassure customers that the team is adequately resourced to address their needs.
---
3. Roadmap Clarity
While you’ve shared some insights, customers need clear priorities.
Questions:
- What are the top 5 upcoming features you plan to release?
- What are your top priorities for the first three months?
Evernote’s success post-acquisition was built on actionable transparency—showing users exactly what was coming next. Encharge could adopt a similar approach to rebuild confidence.
---
4. Missing Features Hurt Growth:
Without key features, customers won’t experience Encharge’s full potential, reducing word-of-mouth referrals. Passive usage replaces advocacy.
Better Pricing Logic: Limit email sending but offer unlimited contacts—this is more scalable and user-friendly than unlimited sending for just 50,000 contacts.
Your willingness to engage is commendable, but actions speak louder than words. Customers want to see:
1. A clear, actionable roadmap (even without rigid deadlines).
2. Team transparency to gauge capacity and commitment.
3. Rapid, visible progress—like Evernote’s weekly updates.
I hope you’ll consider these points. The market is competitive, and demonstrating hustle and strategic vision will be key to winning back trust.

Original post :
------------------------
I purchased the Tier 6 plan expecting a robust automation tool, but I’m now considering a refund due to significant limitations and missing features.
Major Drawbacks:
------------------------
- Restrictive Contact Limit: The 50k contact cap is far behind competitors like Acumbamail (unlimited contacts + 100 websites/landing pages in Tier 1) and SwipeOne (unlimited contacts in Tier 5).
- Gated Features: Critical functionalities like event-based segmentation and Shopify integration are locked behind the top-tier LTD plan, which feels unfair for a "powerful" automation tool.
So there is no strength and differentiations from other contenders.
- Broken Basics: Form tracking simply didn’t work for me with a simple HTML form.
- Missing Double Opt-in: A highly requested feature since 2021 (139+ votes on feedback board), yet still unimplemented.
- This slow development pace is concerning.
Reliability & Security Concerns:
------------------------
- Reports of email deliverability issues raise doubts about its "enterprise-grade" claims.
- No two-factor authentication (2FA) or any other approach to enhance the security of our account.
- No transparency around security measures - No security certification mentioned anywhere.
- Support via Live Chat is unresponsive (read, but not reply) , leaving issues unresolved.
Lack of Vision & Commitment:
------------------------
- The feedback board highlights the absence of a clear roadmap or ETAs for requested features. With new ownership, we need strong commitment more than vague promises
- Lack of a public development plan with timelines.
- Short-term and long-term goals aligned with user needs.
- Proof of progress, not just past successes from 2021.
- Lack of information about team composition, such as the number of full-time developers.
I wish to see the new owners will demonstrate strong commitment by providing clear vision, direction, specific feature release timelines , quickly adapt to user feedback and swiftly remove restrictions.
- Overly cautious limitations suggest a lack of confidence and ambition, potentially hindering business success.
Final Thoughts:
------------------------
Without addressing these core issues—functional gaps, security concerns, and transparency—it’s hard to justify this investment. I’ll likely be refunding.
